New Rubicon BFG KM Takeoffs Installed

So far i'm very happy with this setup. I like the new polished wheels over the painted ones, and the blackwalls over the white lettered Goodyears. Just alittle more noise with the KM's, but not much. the radio will take car of that. The date on the tires is 5411, and they still have the nubs on the tread.

What Do You Guys Think?

Much better

Yes the machined look a hell of a lot better.

The rubi's only had the machined wheels.
Now, I think they are all painted

Look like crap IMO

So far the TPMS Alarm has not gone off. How long will it take if there is a problem with a sensor or senors?

I forgot to clean the dust and factory stickers off before i took the pic.
Oh well...

Why would they go off?

I heard of a Frequency change in 2011? The Jeep is an 09. Or they might take awhile to sync up.

Oh....

Look into the AEV Procal ($150)

Option to rid of that crap by setting to 0 psi.

If there was a problem with the TPMS it should have shown up right away. It looks great! I did the same thing. If you are thinking of selling your orginal tires/wheels, keep in mind they fit 99-04 WK's (Grand Cherokee) as well.

Where did you find the date code?

I saw a thread here a week ago with pic's of the location on the tire. It will have to DOT # before the date code. It is easy to find. I could not find the post that i saw a week ago, or i would show you.

Looks great. I did the same to mine.

I have found that they give up some wet traction vs the GYs, so just be aware.

Satin Carbon or Carbon Satin, something like that.

Took all day for me to remember that

Definitely looks much better.

Regarding the TPMS, I have read some reports of the newer takeoff wheels not causing an issue on the older models, and others reporting that they did have issues. Seems very hit or miss. FWIW, I installed new wheels without the sensors and it took 3 days and over 120 miles for my light to come on.

Would love to find some of these in takeoffs for sale for a good price. Have never been lucky so far in the DC area to find any.

Did the same on my Unlimited Sport. Picked up a set from craigslist. No problem with the TPMS when I switched.
