New Shoes! Thank you WF and DTD!

First of all, I want to say thanks to the WF community. I spent the better part of a week scouring through wheel/ tire threads here looking for a setup that would give me the exact look that I was going for and wouldn't cause any issues both on and off road. The info I found here was indispensable!

I ended up taking advantage of the zero interest offer (plus over $200 in rebates! ) at Discount Tire Direct on a set of 17" MB Chaos 5 wheels (4.5" backspace) with 265/70 Hankook Dynapro ATMs. As this is my daily driver, I didn't want to go too aggressive yet still wanted something competent off-road; these seemed like an excellent choice.

The folks at DTD did their due diligence by calling to ask which way I wanted the lettering facing and offered black lug nuts at no extra cost. They also, very thoughtfully, threw in 3 extra lugs for my spare, even though I only ordered 4 (I plan on using my rebate $$$ for the spare). Unfortunately, one of the 'extra' lugs is the wrong size

They also sent me a separate box containing hub rings, but someone screwed up, b/c they sent me 4 SETS of them rather than 4 rings . Oops! I'll have to call 'em up later and see if they want the extras back.

Anyways, without further ado, here's the new look:

Here's a 'before' shot (w/ my son 'driving' ) for comparison:

Thanks, all!

I don't know if it's from the wider stance or if my old tires were just that far gone, but I've noticed over the past few days just driving back & forth to work that my Jeep seems much more sure-footed.

Even though it's been raining all week, these Hankooks haven't slipped once!

I'm looking at getting those same wheels. Is the finish on them painted?

yes. They're painted black inside & out. I'm not sure if the silver parts are painted on or not, but the whole thing def has a satin clear coat on it.

P.S. As an update: 5k miles later & the Hankooks still look like new. Also, my wife actually complained that the steering is too sensitive now

Got my new chaos 5 wheels! Went with 15 inch and BFG 33 x 10.5 T/As. Love the look. DTD was great to deal with.
