msrp is about $1450.

And Craigs list is a scamm waiting to happen. I will never ever use it again. Tried to sell my bmw winter rims and tire set up,, and was contacted with scam intrests. Then I read the scam reports on Craigs list. And this was exactly how I was approched. You get what you pay for and Craigs list is Free.

It only takes one buyer guy. Try your local paper too.

That has zero meaning. Why the hell would I spend anywhere near that money buying from some idiot on EBay when I can buy it for less (including shipping) from a reputable dealer and have a guarantee?

Yah, but will you get the stock Mopar top for that? That is what he is selling. I paid $200.00 more than that from the dealer and three years ago, that is what dealers were charging for them for a four door top. Did the price go down or is it the same price just that it is a two door?

I wanted a stock top included in the "closing costs" of my jeep. That is what I got. They delivered the top about a week later. But that is me. Someone out there who is looking for a stock top may fork over an amount that is on the high end of what you would expect. That is who silvreo is looking to sell to. Not that he will get what the dealer would sell it for. That would be foolish on the part of someone not to buy new for the same price and get the warranty. But, at some price, it will move. That is just the nature of things.

The "stock Mopar top" is the same Bestop Sunrider that is sold everywhere for much less.

There is a certain segment of the population that, when they want an original part like a soft-top for a jeep would want to purchase one that is able to be traced back to Mopar. They might be concerned for instance that the after-market top may be made of inferior materials. I know that both are made by Bestop but some aren't interested in an absolute bargain...just the brand name part sold precisely for that purpose. Anyway, those folks are out there. Even side by side they may find fault with the cheaper one. Just look at marketing in general. I think he is advertising it right for that type of sale. Will he get top dollar?...maybe, time will tell.
