New tire help

So I'm looking I but some new tires, keeping my stock 17s that came with the jeep and hoping to buy wider wheels for a more aggressive look. I need suggestions on what size tire though.

I currently have 225.75r 17s on there, which is a 32" tire I guess. So I was wondering if it would cause any issues going to a 33 or a 34" tire with these stock rims to widen the look and wheel base, and possibly as 2-3" spacers for added effect.... Thoughts?

Start here and see if you think it'd be practical to get bigger tires for your needs.

So you want bigger tires

A lot more to it than just tires and wheels.

Welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the link. Do you know if any venders who sell the Trektop in a hardtop? I got the Trektop Bc I love the fast back look, but it is by far the biggest pain in the tail to take on and off.

Is this what you're thinking?

If you want a wider look, you best bet is to do it right and get wider wheels so you can safely run 33"-37" tires (depending on lift height, etc.)

You can run spacers on stock wheels to push them out but the stock rim width will be your biggest limiting factor or getting a wider tire safely (key word here). Spacers have their own set of issues/concerns.

If your budget is limited, I'd invest in wider rims before bigger tires as it will allow you more options in the future/as funds become available.

That's exactly what I was looking for! Thanks a lot boss- question tho...what do those run, and do the best top trek top soft top resell decently? Mine is literally brand new- the dealer replaced it as part of the purchase when I got it a couple months ago. The other thing is, can I get individual replacement screws for the top I have? I pulled the top back halfway for a sunroof, and I guess when they put it on, they didn't screw the side screws where the top middle bar is on the frame of the top- it's dead center of the top I the drivers side right where the crossbar is that allows for the sunroof. Thoughts??

Max- I get where pure coming from and I agree. Any rec's on brand of wheels that are aggressive looking AND affordable? Right now I have an option to buy a set of 5 :

18" Moto black/chrome wheels and Nitto Crosstek tires. 265/70 R18s for 1100 bucks with only 1500 miles on them...this a pretty decent deal, and if so do the stick rims/tires resell well?

Not sure about the resell... But I know they're popular, so probably can sell it easy enough.

I know those wildboar hardtops are salty. Maybe like 3k.

I'm sure you could get replacement screws from the manufacturer or maybe even a hardware store.

It's just a massive pain in the ass if I want to take it all off and cruise, especially living in Florida we get rain everyday all summer long, in short spurts, but I can't leave it off Bc I don't have seat covers yet (which if you have a recommendation for the best most water/weather resistant ones if appreciate a hint) and while it only pours for 20 mins, it POURS.
