New Tires on 2011 JK

I've been digging through a lot of threads all over the internet and I can't seem to find a definite answer anywhere...

I'm looking to get the 17" Moab rims from Quadratec (any good ratings??) to replace my stock 16" on a 2011 Wrangler Sport.

The thing I can't get a clear answer on is what the max tire size is for the Wranglers without a lift or spacers so that there is no rubbing on the fenders. I'm seeing mostly 255/75/17's... any issues with that size?

Take it easy on me - I'm a first time Jeep owner and I'm finally starting the process of upgrading!

Thanks!!

Largest tire you can fit would be 255/85-16 on your existing wheels.

If you go to a 17" wheel you can do 255/80-17.

This is with no spacers and no lift.

+1. I also see tons of 'em listed on Craigslist. You could probably pick up all four for around the price of one on Qtec.

Heck, if you were nearby, I'd offer you a deal on the set that I just took off of my '10.

FWIW, the stock tire size on that rim is 255/75R17
