New tires on the Jeep

Hey guys,

need a little help here. I have a 2007 JK that is stock all the way with 225/75/16 on it. Im buying wheels and tires, and I don't want to put a lift on it, or atleast for right now, but I am wanting a bigger tire. I want to put 255/75/17 with a 17x8 pro comp wheel rock crawler series. I've been told clearance is fine, and I will be good to go, because it's exactly what I am looking for. You guys tell me what you think.

It will fit fine.

New Tires

I have a 2011 Sport that came with the stock 16" steel wheels. I have just bought some new take off 17" 2011 Sport S wheels. When I mount these new wheels, do I have to have the speedometer recalibrated and how is this done. Thanks

Yes you will have to recalibrate. You can pay the dealer to do it or you can purchase a programmer and do it yourself.
