New to Jeep, Good deal? Death wobble check?

Buying first Jeep. (after reading death wobble sticky maybe having second thoughts?).
It is a 08 X 51K miles for 15,600. Soft top. Good deal? Also, vehicle is in Atlanta and I have to drive back to NJ. Should I have the dealer check for all steering components (damper, track bar, bolts) before I drive it back? They are not a Jeep dealer but I assume their mechanics can handle using planman's diagnosis checklist?

Thanks!

That's a pretty good price if the Jeep is in good shape and has any options at all.

A general mechanical inspection is always a good idea, but if the suspension is stock, you shouldn't have any worries.

always get it checked out by another shop. I would google "jeep/dodge" dealer in the vicinity of where you're buying it. Set up a safety inspection appt. before you go. Let the dealership know that you're not from there, and not getting any work done there (so they don't inflate what it needs to fill their own pocket).
I have steered past costly repairs on past 2 vehicles I bought, and one negotiation to the work needed.
Good luck! That seems like a good price. I bought my 08 Sahara JKU w/ nav, all pwr options, w/ 90k for $15,250.

There are a bunch of decent Jeep dealers in the Atlanta area. Your money would be well spent to have one of them do a pre-purchase inspection. Then if they find anything you can give the seller the choice of fixing, reducing the price, or punting on the deal.

Is Atlanta the only place you've found what you're looking for? A used Jeep is a vehicle that I'd want to be sure to look at before agreeing to purchase. I would be aggravated to travel to Atlanta to find out it is a POS and have to return home.

I found one in NJ. Jeep Sport 2010 52K miles for 15777. Carfax reports an accident involving front end. Would you consider this is you were me?

it depends on the level of the accident...again, have it looked at by an independent 3rd party and have them look at the front end. I was involved in a front end hit, and only damage to my jeep was front bumper, front fender, and an alignment to correct steering wheel.
since then, nothing else surfaced, no wobble, no highway vibrations, etc. i thought i sent you a few craigslist links to nj
