I have never had a Trektop so I am not going to comment on them but the new premium OEM soft top is very nice. It is a very black cloth like material and the spring assist function makes raising and lowering the top a simple 1 man operation.

I just got my Trektop NX last week, waiting for spring to install.
The OEM top will fold back and stay attached to the roll bars, the Trektop NX has to be removed and stored somewhere. All i know so far have both tops but using NX this summer. OEM top still in packaging.

Trektop looks nice.. I had one on my Jeep for a couple weeks. The rear tailgate bar is a serious pain in the arse if you constantly want to access the back. That was the reason I got rid of it since I have dogs and they are always in and out. Major, major PITA.

I had a trek top NX last year and am getting rid of it.
I just bought the OEM top for my 2012 Sahara.
the biggest reason is I like to put stuff in the back of my jeep and the Trek top followed the roll bar so anything slightly over the height of the back tailgate was out.
Also the wife wants to be able to take the top down, and with the trek top to get it completely down you had to take it off. this was a pain in the but if you were out on the road and decided to drop it. you had to find a place to put the top part in the jeep.
