new user here..

hello everyone, new user here...i have been recently driving my moms 07 jeep wrangler sahara unlimited (4 door) and will most likely be trading cars with here...right now she has a soft top on, and i really want a hard top for the rainy season down here in florida...the only mods i plan on doing is rims, a hard top, and maybe a couple of other ideas i get here from this site...im not the normal wrangler driver, just because of the fact that i rarely go off roading, and also because i love a clean car i have already realized that dirtier is better on this site lol...but anyways, i saw a picture of a JK with these huge DUB rims on it, now i dont want my car lookin like that, but i do wana throw some nice black rims on my car...also, does anyone have any reccomendations as to where i can get a decently priced hard top, i already checked ebay and they are all very expensive, but i did see one that is local for a starting bid of $1200 (its pick up only, and has no bids with little time left and i already contacted the seller and displayed interest, but i believe that if there is no bid, that i could get this top for somewhat of a steal, what would be a good price to offer?) and would it be hard to get the soft top off and the hard top on? are there any instructions of DIY guides that could possibly help me out with installing it?
sorry for all of the questions, ive never been a part of a jeep site, and it will be my first jeep, im more in to the euro scene, as i own a 2002 audi a4 and a 2009 honda accord coupe ex-l...
anyways guys, thanks for your time and i hope to get some good answers!

out of curiosity, if you live in Florida, why would you need a hardtop? The soft top will do just fine when up.....considering you are dry and sunny most of the year if I lived down there it would be soft top all year round...Much easier than having to take the hard top off and putting the soft top on to experience the nice weather. Just IMO...

well i like the look of the hard top alot more, which is mostly the reason, plus my mom works in a pretty sketchy area and she just feels more comfortable with a hard top lol..its mostly for looks...

yea i second the soft top not leaking at all i live in socal so the weather is pretty close here and i have had it in plenty of rain with no leaks. and about security if that person really wants that ipod/cell phone/wallet what ever a window is not that hard to break out just about as easy as unzipping a back window and trying to crall in but you said you like the look of the hardtop most so its all up to you and i think 1200 is not a bad deal for a hardtop. im not to sure ide have to wait untill someone else with more knowledge than me on the subject to chime in. welcome to the forum btw

so i geuss socal is the only place you dont get the wrangler wave? it must be because so many people around here buy jeeps and never use them or even realize what they are driving its sad really. but i still dont get waves from the real jeepers either so its me or that never made it this far southwest. i dunno anyone else in the socal area get waves from other jeepers?
