New Wheel - Question/Thoughts

Ok - So I'm now four weeks until my purchase of a Sahara 2dr. Either black or silver - still trying to decide.

I'm by no means new to Jeeps - 1997 GC Laredo, 2000 Sahara, 2003 Liberty, 2004 Sahara, 2006 Rubi, 2007 GC SRT8, and first off the line 2007 Sahara 2dr.

Know all the issues, or non issues as I think of them. I don't do much off roading - but do take it skiing to big bear and also the desert here in CA.

I've always customized...especially wheels - and always do strong 5 spokes. I found a great deal on some 18" Challenger wheels - and now here's my query.

Has anyone used the adapters from our old friends Quadratech to move from a 5 on 5 to 5 on 4.5?

Here is the link: 2007-Up JK to Wrangler

If i were doing serious off roading would not consider this...and have used spacers in the past well.

Included are a pic of the wheels. and my old SRT, just for fun.

Thoughts?

Thanks and I'm really looking forward to being back in the Jeep family.

I use the SpiderTrax 5 on 5s, which are obviously very similar. They've been on for a few weeks now, have kept themselves torqued tight, and have had no problems thus far.

If they're two piece ADAPTERS, you'll have to be really (LOCTITE) crazy, but

If they're one piece ADAPTERS-just torque and maintenance-OK-

Same as Spidertrax, like I use and MTH-

I got a sahara coming too but never will their be any spacers. If I ever change wheels they will have correct offset and backspace are they won't go on mine. I think my 18 inch factory wheels will last me, oh say 10 to 20 years. Maybe longer if I stay out of them GD rocks!
