I see a lot of stock wranglers and think ehhh but then I see a properly lifted one with the perfect size wheels and wheel gap(not too little not too much) and im suddenly in love and I feel from the side a 4 door sort of resembles a H1 hummer and my question is how do you take a wrangler and get all the rivets and things like that and similar sized wheels and wheel gap that a done up H1 has? I often see huge wheels on the wranglers and huge wheel gap. How do you make it slightly resemble the H1 in those terms? I would buy an H1 but they are soooo old.
Hope I don't offend any hardcore jeep guys lol. Also I would like to purchase a jeep that is already done like that. I dont do my own work nor do I have anyone that does that kind of stuff around here. I dont need a kevlar coated one for 100k either. I just want the super rugged look.

Ummmmm! I'm not sure how to respond honestly, I apologize. Don't think I ever met anyone that wanted their jeep to resemble and H1 in the slightest bit. I don't think they even closely resemble an H1 at all personally.
Looking at buying a pre built JKU, your best bet is to hit the used lots around town and Craigslist until you find what looks more like a hummer to you. Probably will not be cheap though. I know around here modified Wranglers at dealerships run pretty costly.
I meant resemble as in similar wheel size wheel gap. Most wranglers I see are lifted insanely high most hummers I see have big wheels but the frame isnt lifted way up in the air and if you look at them from the side view they do look a little similar. If you can picture the back off of the wrangler leaving the trunk space open and stick it next to an H1 it looks slightly like a smaller version from the side.
So you are saying a minor lift and tires then? Maybe just go with like a 2 -3 inch lift and 35s or something. not 100% sure what look you are going for lol
Pretty much, im looking at 4 door models. I want large wheels but I want the car to also have a low wide look to it. I dont want a lot of wheel gap. I would also like the rugged look by having fender flares that look like they have rivets in them. I know the 2 vehicles dont look THAT similar but somebody out there must know what I mean, has seen the look im going for or owns one, knows somebody that owns one? Can look at pictures of custom H1's and kind of understand what im saying?
Im not trying nor expecting people to say oh look a hummer from afar but a jeep up close or anything like that. Just want a similar profile appearance with the wheels, ride height, rugged wide look and rivets. Similar to the place that does the kevlar coated ones but I dont want my ride to sit way up high off the wheels.
Overall im going for a really rugged look. Just looking for some options as I don't even know where to start, was hoping I could be pointed in the right direction here.
I think I would go with a 4 door model as I like how it looks longer than the 2 door. I have what I want in my mind just trying to find pictures. Almost like a dune buggy type thing..looks low and squatty but its not actually low..looks wide. There's so much out there lol
Like Siixam said above, a small 2-2.5 lift. IMHO a spacer lift would probably work better for what it sounds to me that you want. A spacer will give you pretty much the exact lift height you want, where a true coil lift can give much higher than advertised height if you do not add heavy additional parts like bumpers and winches etc. As far as the fenders, check out Quaratec, 4WD hardware, under fenders, and you will find quite a few like you want, for example Bushwacker. There are a few really reputable vendors on here that would help you out for sure, search them out and good luck. Hope this helps a bit. JT
I know that one has some wheel gap but it looks like it has a sort of wide squatty look. I could almost picture a small tactical squad rolling up someplace in the desert in that thing lol. How do you make them look like that?! What kind of wheels are those? Its like they stick out a little further than the actual jeep itself?
Almost kind of looks like a dune buggy a little bit because it looks like it would create the illusion of riding lower to the ground and looking extra wide. So I guess thats the look im going for help me out! lol
So is this the kinda look you are going for but a 4 door then? you may also want to consider going with a smaller rim for more sidewall to make the tire appear bigger then it actually is.
