Newbie here, our first Jeep

Well we pick up our first Jeep on Wednesday, would be tomorrow (Monday the 7th) but the wife will be out of town with the trade in so we have to wait. I don't have an actual picture of it yet but this is what we're getting, 2011 fully loaded with heated leather (same as below), we're both pretty excited to be getting it even though it's the wifes. She can't wait til the top and doors come off, I can't wait for the lift and new wheels to go on, lol.

So, this is my first post of many that will be on this forum I'm sure. So first question is, does anyone have a height measurement of these things with a 4" or 4 1/2" lift and 35's on it?? It obviously needs to fit into our garage, I'm pretty sure it will, my neighbor has a Hummer and that fits.

Congrats.

There's been a number if threads recently about 35s and 4" lifts. It's a much bigger investment than, say, 33s and a 2.5" lift. There's much more to change, and the consequences percolate through the powertrain. It'll be great if you do it right and so on, and you may know all this already. But of not, please educate yourself before you pull the trigger.

Hopefully I'll learn all I need on this site, it wouldn't be for a while yet and I do plan on learning all that I need before I do anything. I'm sure I'll have plenty more questions when the time is right but for now, at least we're part of the Jeep family. We really like the look of the 4" with 35's but regearing and such won't be part of the equation so if that's the case and we need to tone it down a notch to a 2.5" with 33's, so be it.

Thanks all for the comments! Not sure exactly how much modding I'll be able to get away with yet, don't want to void warranty and it is the wifes vehicle but I'll persuade her a bit, lol.

Great, now I'll have to balance my obsession with Mustang Cobras and now Jeeps!! Gonna be hard to justify that one but we all have to spend our money on something.

You can still run 35s with a 2.5" lift, but you may want to regear with 35s.
