Newbie Softtop question

Just bought a '14 JKU Sahara with only a hardtop. Was planning on buying a vehicle with the dual top option but could not find any that had the dual top option and the other options I wanted. I am undecided if I will buy a soft top or not but would go the eBay or Craigslist route for one rather than buying one from a dealer.

Would I have to buy soft top that came from a '14 JKU or are there soft tops from other model years that would also fit?

There are other model years that fit, but I can't remember how far back it goes.

BIG thing to remember is that any top you're looking at must come with all the mounting hardware.

I'm sure someone will post shortly and tell you the exact years you should look for.

Good luck!

all years can fit if all of the hardware is included.

Stay away from 07-08 tops due to the drip rail attachment. Try to stick to 2011+ tops due to the bigger windows. 2013+ is desirable for spring assist and optional three-ply twill material on the premium top.

just be absolutely sure all of the hardware is included.

You could also get a Trek Top NX from Bestop. It is frameless and works well.
