Last Saturday my wife and I stopped and picked up some El Pollo Loco chicken, and were headed up the canyon for dinner/date night by lake. We stopped at the light and noticed a chopper making a left. My wife made a comment about the insanely small back seat the girl was sitting on (I have a Harley cruiser - no little seat for her...). So I pull into the gas station to fill up and go inside to get some waters. When I got back the rider from the chopper was talking to my wife and told her he'd almost crashed while checking out our jeep while trying to make a left on a chopper with a chick on the back! Haha...sounds kind of like something I'd do. He told us that he'd dump that chopper for a Jeep like that...

As the guy on the bike walks away, another dude in a BMW stops and chats about the Jeep, tells me it's gorgeous and he wants a Jeep. I told he could probably trade in that that silly old 750i! Needless to say, my wife was a little more impressed with my decision to drive a Jeep...

Yeah, I see at least four Jeeps on the short ride to work (plus my neighbors who have them, I think there's four on the way out of the neighborhood). Then there's a TJ, an MW3, an LJ, a base 3.8 JK, a 3.8 JKUR and a JKU Sahara in the lot at work, although they never park beside each other.

On the way home I'll spot a few more, and on the first and fourth weekend of the month, all manner of Jeeps are riding up and down the highway by my neighborhood (many built and on trailers) to hit up the private off-road park down the road.

I'd have to be rocking 40s on d60s with a V8 rumble to turn heads around here.

A guy filling up his truck at the gas station said that as soon as I hopped out to fill up the day after I installed the bumpers. Made my day, the install was a bit of a PITA (due largely to crappy ARB instructions, would be easy to do again knowing what I learned the hard way).

as for complements, I echo the ones noted above, especially the ones from kids (those seem to be the coolest.) However, the most recent came from the CCO of our company (being somewhat well off would be an understatement as we're a fortune 300 company and he'd been with us since pre public stock days--- oh and he drives a Prius if that tells you how frugal he his-- but great to work with really neat guy) anywho... he was needing a ride while visiting us (he's from NY) so as we tooled around with the top down he said 'oh.. this is KOOL' with a big smile on his face.
And to think, I was somewhat hesitant to offer giving him a ride thinking he'd not approve as I didn't have windows in or top up, wishing now I would have left the doors off.

ARB Bull Bar front bumper.

I was thinking of finishing off a complete AEV JK200 package, since AEV manufacturing in MI is a few miles from my work and they did the install of my 2.5 DS XT lift & did the 4.10 regear (had stock Sport 3.21s w/the 6 spd manual)

I just get tired of seeing so many AEV rigs around here. I wanted the look but something different, & I wanted to do the install myself. I'd do it the same way again. Got the matching ARB rear with the same D-ring recovery points.

I actually got off of work today, still in the parking lot and as I was leaving, a guy in a blacked out charger pulled up blasting some rap music and looked at me and said (I think) "Dawg, that thing is the real Sh!&. Black and red be my colors man! Icey whip man!"

Now, I'm PRETTY sure that all that stuff meant good things. I think...

Hahaha! Awesome story! Your Avatar is also some real Sh!& "Dawg." lol!

As for jeep compliments, my summer has been full of them! I was on a road trip to the Northeast from FL for a couple of months. I was spotted in Queens, NY by another WF member, by the maintenence guy from my Orlando dealership on I-95 in Georgia, and was complimented almost daily by random people. One of my favorite compliments was when I had parked my jeep in front of a small shoppe in a little town while my wife and I walked around for an hour. When we got back, the owners of the shop stopped us: "Is that your jeep? We haven't stopped checking it out since we saw it there. That is the nicest jeep I have ever seen!" I know very well that there are jeeps out there every bt as nice or even nicer than mine but I didn't argue.

Like most, I get compliments on my rig but the other day was the best. I was on my way to work, driving behind/next to a new (2012/13)Porsche 911 turbo. We stopped at a light, and I looked over only to see him snapping a picture with his phone.

Compliments

I get compliments on my Jeep just about everytime I take it out. Makes you feel good. But last night, I had the windows down, came up to the light and stopped. There were two young guys (late teens) in their honda civic with their windows down. They looked over and gave me the thumbs up and said "Nice Jeep". I decided to crank up my sterio (It is not stock). I put on some heavy metal and brought up the sub more. They looked at me and said, "Your Jeep Rocks". I proceeded to blow them off the line with my 3.6 285hp hotrod Jeep.

I was surprised that while I was in Colorado a week ago, people in other Jeeps would wave like we do on motorcycles. It was nice.

I do get a lot of compliments on the Cosmos Blue. But then I used to get compliments years ago on my '78 red with white hardtop cj7 quadratrac, too.

Happened again. Driving down a city road, stopped at a stop light. All buttoned up, with 30% tint all the way around. I look over and 2 women in a Honda Pilot have their iPhones out taking pics. The MW3 gets a ton of looks even with minimal mods. All of the rides in this forum are so cool. Love checking out what everyone has done!

Lots of 4 doors around here, not as many 2 doors. Everyone comments on it, even when it was stock. I put 33s on it and it never ends now. A lot of people ask about my tires. If i roll down my back window guys in other suvs wish they could do that...hehe.

Im in the uk not many Wranglers here.
My neighbours have all commented on how nice the jeep is, One stranger so far looked at the jeep and said " I bet your proud of that". Not as much attention as my Lotus Elan ,one bloke ran across the road into the petrol garage just to ask a few questions about the car, kids used to shout out "nice car MR" Same attention with my CCM R30 motorbike, Maybe because these are true British products .Maybe I should get out driving a bit more.

X2. I've owned mine for 5 months now and people are always gawking/asking questions. I owned my previous vehicle (1999 ranger) for over ten years. Not once can I remember someone stopping me and saying nice truck!

Me and the gf went to get ice cream. Like usual I pull up and get the stares. But one guy came up and asked me what year it was and said how nice it was and told me about his old cj he used to have. Pretty nice guy and said nice jeep about 5 times haha. Can't blame him.

I pulled up topless to the drive thru at a pizza and sub shop. There was a guy about 20 working there. He said: awww man, why don't you guys come in, I want to borrow your Jeep. I'll have it back before you're done....there may be a few girls in back but it'll be here. I reminded him there was no backseat and he just smiled and said: all the better.

It seems that I get the most compliments on mine because it's mostly stock (with the exception of aftermarket lights, some decals, and a custom removable toolbox). Most of the Jeeps in my especially Jeep-heavy area (central Arizona) are lifted with tire upgrades due to the terrain, and people appear to like the look of mine. I like having a 'clean'-looking Jeep even though I do like the trails.

All the time. I dont even have a lot of major upgrades on it, but my smiley face light covers get a lot of love. Then i painted the shackles and interior trim yellow and that was it.

One morning i pulled into work with no doors and top. I go inside to drop something off and come back out to see 5 of my conworkers eye raping my truck, dsying "i f**king love this thing!" And "my dad offered to pay half for one and i said no like an idiot"

Now thats my baby

Me and my buddy get a lot of thumbs up on going down the highway when we are going to a race, event, ride or what not. We like to kid each other about who the thumbs up was for.

Of corse I really give him a hard time when we have both JKs on the trailer since his.... well looks the way it does.

As far as pumping gas or anything goes I almost always get a complement.

This is very true! I've been riding around naked all weekend and have gotten quite a few comments, waves, and head turns. BTW, the Jeep is naked, not me.
