No-door foot rest

Does anyone know a source or have a writeup on making/buying a footrest that fits in the empty bottom hinge of your Jeep when the doors are off? I've seen several people with them, but they have all been home made.

RealWheels has one for $59.00. I have seen others brands, too.

Seems like a lot of $. I really want something, but that just seems to be too much. I wish I knew someone who would weld up a set. (hint hint...)

Being a new Jeep owner and driving hundreds of miles without doors so far my response is WHY? I guess possible answers could be, to cool off your nether region, because you can, it looks cool, or "I typically ride a Harley so I want my Jeep to feel half like a Harley."

Here's another source Jeepegs - Stainless steel biker-style foot pegs for Jeep Wrangler CJ, YJ, and TJ

The simple answer is, "Because I like it."

Be careful how you make your pegs attach to the hinge. I trashed the bushings and warped the top of hinge hole because I used to small of a bolt and the washer sucked in. it was a real pain to get straightened out.

I just use the hinge on where my door goes. I know not everyone is y'all enough to reach it, but being 6'2", it's perfect.
