Did you not read the thread? It's been covered and I think it's safe to say that if every Wrangler ever made had them they would STILL not be widely used for the last 15 years. Almost every platform from all of the manufacturers that was redesigned in the 90's got rid of them at that time.

grease fittings are actually still used alot, just not in the car industry. And since a jeep isn't a car, it should not apply to their set of rules. Therefore it should have zerks.
