No OBDII Port Power?? 2008 Wrangler

I've spent a while searching this forum, and have had NO luck.

I went to plug in my OBDII reader, and there's no power to it.
I've done typical troubleshooting. I've checked the fuses, all
fuses are OK. I checked the OBDII Reader on my other car, and
it works fine. Anyone know where the OBDII pulls power from?

Anyone have any idea on how to resolve this issue? It's a first for me!

Typically OBD gets it power through the cigarette lighter/power port circuit.
Check the fuses again but with a test light. Should have power on both sides of the fuse. Sometimes the fuse can crack or seperate inside.(not the plastic part) I had one that looking at it it was good. Checked with a voltmeter and it didn't have continuity. Watch what you plug into the power port.

Appreciate the reply. I did check the fuses with an Ohm meter for
continuity, I'll use the voltmeter in the AM. Both Power Ports are functioning
properly as well...This one's got me stumped. I'm going to try and take a look
up under the dash, and see what I can see, I may get lucky.

I had the same thing happen to me the other day. All the fuses tested good, then I looked at the fuse chart and noticed one was missing.

The pin in the obd port may be pushed out of it's socket. Pretty unlikely, but anything is possible. Do you still have warranty on your Jeep?

Kinda- sorta- maybe off topic, but I assume you are trying to pull a code??

Did you know about the "turning the ignition key on 3 times to show the error code on the dash" trick?

Did you happen to notice which one was missing? I'd appreciate the head start!

Yes, thanks, I do know about the 'trick' I am trying to have additional
keys made, but if you only have one key the dealer needs the OBD2 port
to make additional keys...what a way to run a business! I also have a
Dash hawk I'd like to hook up for diagnostics, when necessary.

Sometimes the obvious question needs to be asked, did you turn the key to the "on" position? The OBDII reader won't have power unles you do.
