You're the first person to ask, good eye! I'm a huge Carroll Shelby fan, a 65 GT 350 is my dream car. I love the story how he put their stickers on all if the cars in the 66 Indy 500 without the drivers knowing. I use the logo to honor all that he's done for motor sports and gearheads in general. I've been thinking about building my Jeep in the Terlingua tradition, but not sure yet how to make that happen or what it would look like.
I apologize as I may be responsible. I hit a couple birds the other day and the rest of the flock may have gotten our rubicons mixed up. It was an accident but I don't think they cared. sorry.
A Terlingua Jeep model would be cool in my opinion. I had been running a Terlingua sticker on my Jeep TJ for years until my son totaled it last fall....
I have been a big mustang and shelby guy for years. I have a new '13 GT500 and also one of the 1966 Terlingua DM450 cars that Dallas Mustang built back in '05.
That Mustang is beautiful! I love it. Is it a street car or do you race it? I've never heard of the DM450 cars, but I will look them up tonight. The GT500 is awesome. I almost bought a 2012 Boss 302 last year, but decided there were more practical things to spend my money on.....like new windows for the house.......plus I don't have a place to park it. I also almost bought a 65 GT350 back in the late 90's, but again the practical side of me talked me out of it. I would have made a crap load on that car now. One day I'll have my mustang, but for now I'm having a blast with the Jeep.
Sorry to hear about your Jeep, I hope your son was okay. I was thinking about putting Terlingua stickers on too, but decided to wait until I've got the whole thing figured out.
good god.... good thing you cleaned it off quick, their crap is like acid and will go right through the paint. always check the concrete below trees you park by as well. if you see bird doo all over, its a good hint to NOT park there.
HA, I hit the car wash first thing Monday morning. They used a pressure washer to get it all off, then hand washed it. I left a nice tip because I felt bad that they had to deal with that. Then it was nice and clean. Now it's covered in salt or magnesium or whatever the hell it is. Back to the car wash.....
