Non dual top question.

I have a 2013 JKU that I got with just the hard top. I am buying a soft top from a guy who bought the "dual top". He never installed the top and everything is still in box. My question is, is there anything installed for the soft top at the factory or will everything be in the boxes?

Thanks in advance, Matt

Make sure you get the brackets that are usually attached at base of rollbar, if it's the same on a JKU. I have a 2 door and purchased a used soft top off of someone, didn't have the brackets, I think I paid forty dollars for them. But if he is going with just hard top, he has no need for them.

If you purchased new jku with just a hardtop then you will need to acquire the brackets that mount to the rear most pillars on the roll cage. (I found this out the hard way a few weeks ago.) Chrysler is too cheap to provide these parts with all new jeeps. These would be the brackets that the soft top hoops pivot/mount to.

Just wondering (if you don't mind) what the factory soft top went for. I may be in the market for an unused one from a dual top owner.

I believe it's item #20 on the diagram.

the brackets are usually connected to the soft top arms. You then bolt those brackets to the rollbar. Are you sure they aren't already connected?

Thanks. After all that they were right where you said they would be. I guess some people had them pre attached to the jeep for some reason

Ooo! You also seem to have the sunroof inserts for your hard top. Nice!

*edit... oops, just saw that the photo was sideways...
