Noobie question :)

Just got my first Wrangler (wanted one since I was a kid). It is 2011, 2 door, black, sport, hard top (They did not have the yellow one, and I could not wait any longer!!!)

I actually like new interior! I spray painted some pieces red, and it looks awesome. I will post some pics once I am fully done.

Took it off roading this weekend to Hollister Hills, NorCal.

Scratched the living crap out of it (horrible paint quality), but that's not the issue.

I screwed up my alignment. Steering wheel was turned few degrees to the left meanwhile the jeep was pulling to the right. Since my jeep has 3000 miles on it, I had the dealer fix alignment issue and re-center my steering wheel.

Now my steering wheel is few degrees to the right lol

I am actually ok with it, but was wondering if this will effect ESC in any way.

If it will I found some write ups on how to fix it. Just wondering if I need to do it. Its very minor (may be 3 degrees?)

Thank you in advance guys

try the search on here a guy named Jerry has posted it a couple times how to do it, basically loosen the nuts on the sleeve on the drag link and use a set of pliers and turn the drag link (not just the sleeve) until the steering wheel it straight..simple as that, i did it to mine because the steering wheel was too far to the right, now its off to the left a little but i just havent fixed it again yet lol

wow huge brain fart, i think i completely missed your last 2 sentences, well mine is just a tadddd off and it has been fine, as long as your alignment is ok then the steering wheel wont harm anything, your tires are still going straight even if your steering wheel isnt, its bugging me so im prob gonna fix it again tomorrow..

Thanks for your input.

I know that it does not affect alignment, but I read somewhere that your ESC is calculating your steering wheel position and speed, etc.

And people who go wheeling and get their steering wheel crooked, have ESC light come on etc.

I was just wondering how straight does it have to be

If it's not on now, it will be __

The draglink adj is easy and quick, doesn't the steering wheel being off ctr-bug you ??

Loosen two (15mm) ?"I think" nuts and turn the sleeve, to move the steering wheel-5 minutes !!
