I love this place. I haven't read any of the thread and see the subject "Not a fan of the new wranglers", and thought I'd give it a read. So, I click on the last page..

I like how the entire page is filled with posts about bacon. Niiiice.

There are some people who keep trying to take this thread off topic by talking about Jeeps or some nonsense. This thread is really about bacon, beer, and bouncies.

Basically the Jeep has technology that as been available for over 10 years. Maybe it has more than I know regarding electronics....but with the Bullydog one can make some modifications right? I digress. So the Jeep is my first carmi could afford to buy brand new. I wanted something safe for my work vehicle as I drive many miles, I wanted something that would practically take me anywhere in the mountains or anywhere else without the fear of getting stuck (truck and suburban owners should agree) and I wanted a bad a$$ vehicle like an ALL AMERICAN JEEP! Who in their right mind would want to buy a new car more basic that the last? I tell you this. My next car will be a jeep, the next car will be a jeep and so on. As I can afford to I will slowly mod them. I love to offload and never had a vehicle like a JEEP that could take me places others dared not. Please excuse a modified engine .01 Liters less. Damn good axels, tranny cooler, tow package, hard top (don't stay on too much) and those awesome mud tire marked floor mats. I have installed cool air, tires and wheels and a bug defector. I have had to replace the window already. 3 weeks into ownership. Didn't wanna pay$300 for Mopar windshield with JEEP logo. Do I roll around and see people who don't use their vehicle to its potential everyday? Yes! Do they drives JEEPS. Yes! Is it everyone? NO! The people who are apart of the JEEP community wave, and strike up conversations about the mods you have made and what they have made. Tell about great trails or guides to awesome places. Would I like an older JEEP hell ya! Does it make sense against buying a new improved JEEP? Not really! I love the old JEEP's and wish I could have had one sooner in life but I've got this one here new and I love it. I have been through dunes, rivers, waves, mud, and snow. Up steep hills on loose land and on smooth highways. It does it all. And sometimes when it's 110 degrees outside that new fangled air conditioning is amazing and the temperature gauge just reminds you how lucky you truly are and to look so awesome in your JEEP, scoffing at Mercedes, Beamers, lifted Chevy's and the Hummers or FJs (cause the JEEP is better and they wish they had a JEEP to) and participate in the special community that it still represents tradition and exploration! Thanks for reading! I don't like Mayo or Miracle Whip! Gag!

Real bacon is healthier for you than turkey bacon. Due to the additives to make it taste like bacon and the higher sodium content.
http://eatthis.menshealth.com/node/77586
They are still similar health wise so I told the misses to ditch the fake and enjoy the Pig.
Also its better to use bacon grease vs fake butter for a perfect meal.
I love bacon! Bacon for president!

Earlier this year I bought a new smoker and I cured and smoked my own bacon.

It's ten times better than any bacon you will find anywhere else.

Heck, it's only 600 miles - 10 hours to Covington, WA from my place... I'm on the way, hope there's some bacon left for breakfast tomorrow!

Granted i have nav, but i like that.. "Plain" look in my jeep. These new jeeps just feel too comfortable, like if i was caught in the rain with the top off it be like i ruined my mercedes.

Dont mean to rant and sound like "its not a real jeep," i just dont like how wranglers are slowly and surely losing their ruggedness
I was going to suggest we PM Moose5 to congratulate him for starting such an awesome thread but...............his PM mailbox is full.

I wonder why?

Maybe we could just post "bacon" to the threads he starts? Then all of his threads could be awesome, right?

Ok, just kidding. I've had a couple of cold brewskies and doing some crazy talk.

Wow. I was away on vacation for a few week, and missed out on some great conversation about my favorite subjects. Here is my attempt to catch up.

BEER: I love IPAs. Between 50 to 70 IBU range. A few good ones produced here on the Canadian east coast: Gahan's 1772, Garrison's Imperial IPA, and picaroon's YipeeIPA.

I have a couple of Dogfish Heads and Shipyard IPAs in my fridge that a friend brought me from the states last week.

Thinking of growing my own hops next season for my home brews.

My thoughts on BUDWEISER (King of beers): Made from Rice & corn, not really a beer, and as it was said in Game if Thrones:
"Any man who must say, I am the king, is no true king." - Tywin Lannister

Favorite quotes:

"Don't take refuge in the false security of consensus"
- Christopher Hitchens

"Once again we have hit philosophical bedrock with the shovel of a stupid question "
- Sam Harris

"By the time a man realizes that maybe his father was right, he usually has a son that thinks he is wrong."
- Charles Wadsworth

As for my pedigree: 33% Scottish, 33% Irish, 33% Acadian (U.S. folks know them as Cajun) and 1% unknown ;-)

Their beer tastes like dirt, just like all the rest. The 120 is the only one that doesn't taste like a variant of mud in my mouth. It tastes like rubbing alcohol.
