x2. They all provide a great starting point, but you need to build them. BTW, I've seen some older XJ Cherokees that could put many a Wrangler to shame on the trails. Love 'em all!

Unacceptable kjeeper. You are a CT guy...you never went to the BIG E for the Chocolate covered bacon in the CT Building? I'll have some available with the pizza and beer when we wrench on my wagoneer and add 2 1/2 inches to it. I may change my name to CG Short Bus...

I thought the 07-10 interiors screamed cheap. I am glad they fixed them in 2011.

Didnt mean to bash anyone with the redesign, just saying i personally am not a fan.. Never said it made it any less of a jeep, just no my taste.

But while were at it, go buy some Trader Joes Speculoos Cookie butter. Its in the peanut butter aisle usually. Positively the most delicious thing ever. Dont get mad at me when you get addicted

I wonder how the owners of these things feel about this issue and things being too plush nowadays.

Granted i have nav, but i like that.. "Plain" look in my jeep. These new jeeps just feel too comfortable, like if i was caught in the rain with the top off it be like i ruined my mercedes.

Dont mean to rant and sound like "its not a real jeep," i just dont like how wranglers are slowly and surely losing their ruggedness
Plush? WTF? You sir have not driven many "plush" vehicles.

I have a 2013 2 door and its a far cry from plush compared to the Denali and other trucks I have owned.

Denali's aren't plush either they are a Sierra with a special name and the same old crappy interior.

I just bought a 2013 JKU. It is certainly a lot nicer than my '95 YJ. Of course I like the vehicle or I wouldn't have bought it. I like the things that Jeep has done. I got a basic model because I love standard transmissions and I didn't want the Nav since it's a Jeep, right? I mean nothing else about the vehicle is "plush." Actually, I didn't get Nav because it was almost $1100 more for that option and my so called "smart" phone does it for free.

The nice features about Jeep with four doors is how I was able to sell it to my wife, otherwise I probably wouldn't have been able to get one.

Also, OP, mine is in the Dune color you mentioned. I love it.

"Jeeps are built not bought"

What a load of crap....unless you have a forge in the garage I don't want to hear this garbage.

Bolting on wheels and a suspension and then plasti-dipping some insipid part somehow makes it "built"?? Hardly....

Those days are long gone....

C'mon, guys- NOBODY feels like there's a trade-off with Jeep's decisions? I just read threads about how to find and adjust tire pressures and how to remove a bolt. I'm waiting for the "where does gas go," "the Wrangler needs a fixed top," " no more removable doors," and "can I take this on bumpy roads" threads. Oops, two of those already exist!

So it wasn't making it a 4 door that did all this, it was a nicer interior and better engine?
