Not so cheap jk mods...

There are cheap jk mod threads...got it...read it...I am looking for the best recommendations for mods in the $100-$200 range. Not exactly cheap, but not too expensive. Any suggestions?

Pbeachcruzer, if you didn't see my posts yesterday about the taillight guards in the Willys thread, do a search there. It was in the last three or four pages.

eBay search for alanjk427, he makes a tailgate table and molle panels for storage. IPF headlights? A hoist for your garage, if you have a hard top? SpiderWebShade?

Plasti-Dip your antenna black. You'll be amazed at how much it changes the look. You wouldn't think so, but it really does. It surprised me, anyway. Get some door sill protectors (about $40) Your door sills will take a beating over time, left unprotected, and are a prime candidate for rust once the paint wears away. Bed-line your pinch seams under the doors as well. These are other optimal areas for rust, especially if you live in a snowy climate where salt is used.

How many 100-200 mods you looking for? Just skip a few add them together and go big. Sorry just having fun. I have found it's either cheap home made mods or dam did I really spend that for that?

Have fun and mod on.

I picked up a decent pair of KC lights off Amazon for under 200. I did that with the rugged ridge switch panel. I get a lot of complements on them and was easy to instal.

$100-$200 is cheap! everyone knows anything for a JK starts with at least a $500 price tag!

I am going to have to second the KC lights.

Cheap? Looks like most of the cheaper modifications are covered. You could always add a fire extinguisher and holder to your sport bars.

I got my jk back in February, here is what I have so far:

Cheap Stuff: Under 100
Mopar Floor Mats: 40 -ebay (signed for the jeep and put them right in)
Mopar Door Sill Guards: 20 -ebay
Mopar Fuel Door: 40 -ebay
Oh Sh*T Handles: (4) 40 -ebay
Quadratec Trailer Hitch: 80 -Quadratec

Your range 100-200
Mopar Hood Lock: 120 -ebay
Ace Rock Rails: 320 (ok a little higher than your range) -Jeephut

Everything installed really easy, the Ace rails were a little tricky getting the bolts back in but nothing impossible.

In the works I want to tint the hard top, get a soft top, paint the front and rear tow hooks red, get a rear tire cover, maybe some cool jk decals and bedline the area under the driver and passenger doors(shes only a little over 2 months old and already has a few marks down there)

First mod I'd recommend would be a headlight upgrade. I like the Hella upgrade from Rallylights.com.

I bought a hood deflector. Keeps bugs off the windshield. About $90 and installed in 10 minutes. Looks great.

Mopar brand hood lock. Uses ignition key. Very, very handy. Especially with fuze short / open door hack.

Under $200 and takes less than 1 hour to install. Very easy. You have to buy a rivet gun. Amazon recommends the perfect gun.
