Or leave anything in the dash tray with the doors off, it will fly out around a turn. Parking permits don't like to stay hanging on the mirror either...
Too funny.... I JUST back to my Office after running errands and read this.
My Mortgage slip and check is somewhere down town as we speak because of just this....
Hopefully someones dog will eat it or a Bank Employee will find it while walking to lunch.

I work at an architecture / engineering firm and I constantly have to visit job sites with plans and paperwork. I lay the plans and paperwork under the rear cargo mat to keep them from blowing out when I am running topless.
My wife opened the glove box to get a tissue while naked (the Jeep, not my wife, you pervs :mooning:, and that's how I lost my registration. Go figure, the tissues didn't blow out...:nonono:
Left mine on the fender. Going to work and pulled out of the garage and heard a *THUNK -CRACK*...Crap, that was my phone...ran over it with the pass front tire, LOL I gotta give Kudos to Otterbox though - the case held up fantastically! The Galaxy S3...? Not so much.
Waaaay back when Ray Ban "Killer Loops" were all the rage, a buddy of mine with a YJ found a pair. He was super excited and loved those stupid things. We were all cruising one summer day (naked of course), and he stuck his head out the Jeep to look at something. Those stupid glasses went flying right off his face and under the car's tire behind him! We laughed our asses off!

Last year, I left a drink on my rear bumper. I remembered it about 3 miles later after going up a steep hill, around several sharp curves and down another long and steep hill (the Potato Salad Hill/Sand Flats Road in Moab for anyone who knows the area). I assumed the drink was long gone so I didn't stop to rescue it. I drove 17 miles up the winding Colorado River road and another 8 miles up the steep, curvy hill into Castle Valley...2000 vertical feet...then several hundred feet down my steep and bumpy dirt driveway and into the garage. When I got out, the drink was still there. I recommend Poison Spyder bumpers and Rancho RS9000XL shocks.
I always wear a hat. I have had to turn around a time or two to go back for one. Especially after semi's pass in the opposite direction. Or when following a semi closely.
I had a 7 year streak of never braking the screen on a phone. Then it happened while stepping out of a Jeep during a test drive. I never put my phone in my left pocket now.
Hats are a favorite to lose here. The Oklahoma winds coupled with highway driving, lots of semis, and bumpy roads cause a lot to be lost each year. I lost one a few years back when a semi passed me on the highway going to other direction. We were both in the left lane.
After that, no more lost hats. I keep a piece of paracord with a clip on each end in the Jeep. One clip on my t-shirt, one clip on my hat. No more lost hats. One of my friends wasn't so lucky this past week, lost his favorite hat that he owned for 15 years while on the highway.
You guys are giving me ideas for how to deal with my work Blackberry Z10.
It is the most frustrating POS ever designed by man. I tried slamming it against the floor on several ocassions; even against a cobble stone street: it won't destruct! I am convinced that thing was made by the Devil!
I'll "leave" it on my fender and drive over it with my 35x12.5 General Grabbers. That better do it!
Ooooh another one. Dont leave the horizontal tailgate bar for an OffRoad Heroes soft top on the back bumper. Tailgate gets pushed outwards on bottom right corner
Don't leave your favorite RayBan prescription sunglasses on the rear bumper either. Once they fall and get run over by MT's they'll never fit very well...
This is why my summer hat has a chin loop. I secure it tight when top is down to keep it on my head.
