Now what color?!?!?!?!

Ok so I've been following these forums for years and the day has finally come!!! I'm getting a 2013 Sahara Unlimited (my first jeep ever)! So pricing is set, financing has been arranged, now I just need to choose a color so I can order. It's driving me nuts! I need help!

So I have ruled out Black, Dune, True Blue, Gecko, Rock Lobster, and the later coming pink. Not a big fan of the oranges but havent ruled them out completely. I like Billet, white, Commando Green, and Deep cherry the most.

Now for the actual questions...

Those of you who have a deep cherry JK how does the paint hold up over time? I've seen some used ones where the paint has faded to almost a more burgundy... Is this something I should worry about?

For the bright white jeepers out there, how do you like it. Is it as much of a pain to keep clean as it seems it would be? I don't mind it getting dirty every now and then, but I don't want my white jeep turning beige after only 10 miles of highway.....

For you Commandos, how do you like it? Still love the color after having it for a while? I'm worried that army green cool effect will wear off quite quickly....

And Billet, well Billet is just awesome so ya, any input is appreciated.

Thanks guys in advance for any help. First time jeep buying is kinda overwhelming. So much info, so many options...

Get billet. I don't think you can order crush or gecko anymore but crush is my pick but I'm a little biased lol if I got a 2013 in any other color, it would be billet

I have owned well over 20 cars and trucks and I gotta say my Bright White paint job on my 13 is as nice of a paint finish as I have seen. I will say Silver was my first choice but ended up going white. I think if billet had been available I might have had to flip a coin. No regrets tho with the white. White is easy to keep clean and hides dirt much better then darker colors. I swear the guys at work ask me how I keep it so clean.

If it were me personally at this point in the game, and I didn't want to wait months to order a 2014. I would most definitely wait a tad longer and choose Rugged Brown Pearl Coat, with a saddle interior. That is, if it comes to fruition for the '13s, which I believe it will.

Good Luck!

I don't think you can order Deep Cherry Red any longer either, which was my first pick. I ended up going Billet, with Commando Green coming in a very close second.

@Charcoal - Have you seen any of your favorite colors in person? While White and Billet are pretty standard, colors like Commando Green really need to be checked out in person.

FWIW my RED Jeep looks clean longer than our BLUE one or the White Chrysler 300...realize that you are not looking at Blu but it is a comparison thing....anyway those with "faded" paints IMO never got a little love...yeah its a Jeep but I wax mine to keep it looking good.

I was between Commando and Billet, then saw the Commando in person... went with Billet- hides dirt very well too.

OP sounds like he really likes Billet (I think it looks good too) & you can't order Crush anymore.

I have Commando Green, and haven't tired of it yet. I was thinking I would go Billet just because it was a safe pick, but from just having a silver car I needed to see CG in person. Drove over 2 hours to check one out on a lot, ordered it that day.

Thanks guys, I think Billet and Commando are going to be my top picks, with White not far behind. Safe Billet, rugged Green, or bleached white...
I'm about as indecisive as they come so this input helps a lot. Great way to be welcomed into the jeep world.

Oh, geez, you think choosing a color is bad? Tip. Of. Iceburg.

Wait till you start looking at wheels, tires, lifts, tops, blah, blah...it gets downright maddening .

Man I know! I've been working on that for months now. Decided on all that before hand, so for right now all I have to choose is color. Already have a $3k shopping cart waiting for me on Quadratec. Just need the actual, you know, JEEP!!!!

I had it easy...only had to choose btw red and black. But if they'd had Billet, Dune, and CG then, it woulda been a lot tougher. I like all three of those colors.
