Hello All,
I just installed the glide this past weekend and it seems to be extremley loose can anyone else chime in if their's is like this? I am certain this is not normal. Video is below Thanks in advance.
Yes! I have the same issue. I have a Twill version and it's very loose at the front two corners. The original video post is a Black Diamond version. I'm curious if any other Glide owners are experiencing the same problem. Please post here if you're having a similar issue with your new Bestop Trektop NX Glide. I'm fine if you post ANY issues with your Glide here, not just the loose corners. The original Glide thread has turned into a Glide vs NX argument and it would be good to have a dedicated Glide and Glide issues thread to help with support and resolution.
It's just the front two corners on my Glide that are loose like that. The windows and the rest of the top are TIGHT. I also have a Trektop NX and it does not have this issue. The front corners are tight on the NX.
I haven't run mine in sunrider mode yet. I've been either all the way up or all the way back on my Glide. Will try it out in sunrider mode and let you know if this happens. My NX didn't really have this problem, but it only had a single fold when flipped back where the glide has two.
I've been a big supporter of the glide but I'm fading fast. I noticed today that my back window is pulling off of the glide rail. I emailed customer support and Cassie. I'm afraid that it will just fall out by itself. It's only been in the sun for an hour and a half.

Shinny, I am having the exact same issue with the rear window in fact mine slides all the way off, so in addition to loose top now I have this as well. I love the top but all of these gremlins are very frustrating.
I have to give a lot of credit to Bestop. They are sending a new back window to me and they said it should arrive this week. That's great customer support
After BT sent me a new header I am still experiencing this top is ultra loose towards the front especially and like "Shinny" the rear windows literally slides out of the glide track and I am waiting now for new window that is weeks out. I was curious if anyone else has the glide and experiences how flappy and loose it is? I may just chalk this up as normal which really sucks. Thx for any feedback.
I had the same issue with the back window coming out of its groove,
and was told they would send me a new window.
I believe the issue is the window has to be stretched too tight for the design.
Mine is tighter on the passenger side and that is where it starts to come loose,
after city driving for a week it is separated about a foot and stopped,
and the flap over it will still keep rain out.
This is a design issue they will have to fix, maybe by adding a strap and snap at the top
similar to the bottom of the side windows?
That snap as a last operation for install would keep the separation from starting, and then I think all is good.
Other than that seems like a good top, it sat outside during a sideways 3" rain
last weekend and I dont think it leaked.
Quiet at hiway speeds.
Does your top seem to feel loose in the front corners or is it extremely tight fitting? I also have the non-twill but experience this, I am goona have to live with this and maybe chalk it up to the way it is. I am enjoying this top as well. Thx for sharing your experience.

Mine sags so much that water pools in the front 2 corners. Was told that after time that the top would tighten up and it would leesen the pooling. I was always under the impression that the top loosens and not tighten over time. Anyone else have this problem?
I have the same issue with the back window separating from the groove at the top.
I think the issue is the window just puts too much tension for the
design of the keeper groove at the top.
There are going to be slight size variations on each jeep and each top,
so some hopefully most work fine.
Mine is really tight on the passenger side, and that is where it starts to separate.
It did this late on the first day it was installed, so I redid it, then it was good for a week,
and it separated again, so left it at that and after another week it is separated about 18" but the top flap still covers the gap so should keep rain out.
I only used sun warming and my hands to install it.
It seems to maybe be a design flaw they will have to correct, maybe by adding a strap and snap at the top similar to the one at the bottom inside of the sides.
A snap may keep the separation from starting, then I believe all is fine.
Other than that seems like a good top, it sat outside in a 3" sideways downpour last weekend (before the back window separated the 2nd time) and did not leak far as I can tell.
Mine is quiet at Hiway speeds top up.
I have never taken it down yet, been raining a lot.
Mine is tight in the front, nice and tight all over, did not notice pooling anywhere.
If you are not tight and pooling make sure you have the roof bows snapped into place properly.
I did take my top off/on several times over the weekend, works great, easy.
I like it. I plan to come up with a window storage system.
The only issue stated earlier is the rear passenger corner is too tight and the upper corner of the rear window was coming out of its slot. They are supposed to send me a new back window, because the original slot is sprung.
In the meantime I made a Z shaped extension where the window hooks on at the bottom to give it an extra approx 1/4", this is working so far, still tight and has not come out at the top after 4 days. I used brass .04" thick x approx 3" wide and covered with plenty flat black tape to cover edges.

Anyone else having issues with the pin on the top rear of the quarter panel pulling the rubber grommet right out of the rear bow when you remove the window?
I just installed last night. happened first time I pulled the pin. Was easy enough to put back but this could easily get lost removing the windows if you don't notice when you pull.
Aside from that the only other major issue I had was the side bows that attach to the header assembly. I could not get the predrilled holes on the top of the header to line up, even flipping them upside down or switching sides. One side was so bad that if you screwed the panheads flush on the bottom of the header first, then flipped to do the top, the side bow holes weren't even visible through the holes in the header!!! The predrilled holes were obviously severely misaligned from the factory.
I managed to get them in by angling all 4 and slowly tightening each a bit a a time, but the edges of the panhead screws tore up the plastic in the header pretty good since the screws can't sit close to flush.
I installed the Glide on my Wife's 2-door about three weeks ago. Lost a grommet right away. Went to ACE hardware just to get one quick. The only thing they had that was close was slightly bigger O.D. It fit in the frame much tighter and has held in place perfectly.
Other than the grommet no other problems. It was very tight to snap the sides of the rear window to the side windows, but has loosened up just right in the warm weather.
