oba and upgrade horn??

Looking for info/opinions on installing onboard air and upgrading to an air horn. Anyone done this and have pics and tips? I'm thinking of going with an ARB twin compressor, installing an air tank, and going with a semi horn (since train horns are illegal). I don't plan on honking at everybody but some folks are real idiots when they drive (and text) and the factory horn is pathetic. Also, I need the oba for inflating tires so I don't want to go with a horn kit. Any insight appreciated.

two ways to do it really, reroute the wires for the factory horn to a relay that controls your new air horn. or the better way is wire it stand alone and use a button black to control the solenoid

I plan on keeping the stock horn. I'm not familiar with oba and tanks. Where do most folks mount the tank? Also, can you run lines from the tank to the horn and another line for airing up from the same tank? Or does the ARB have two lines - one that could go to the tank and another line that could go for airing (so I'd be airing up directly from compressor and not tank).

I used to have Fiamm twin air horns with small electric compressor in my pick ups. They were manageable size and had pretty awesome volume & tone. Finally wore 'em out and the compressor motor froze up over the life time of a couple installs on different rigs.

Am considering another set, they were running around $130 the last I saw them. I'm sure they'd fit on a Wrangler, the compressor unit is about 3"x8" with the horns being around 8-12" (est). They were small enough and LOUD enough used to run them on my motorcycles as well.

Thanks for the info Jake. I may go that route and have the oba for airing up only.
