OBA deal on Amazon!

So, I know people really like the hi-end stuff like Vilair, but not everyone can afford it. For christmas, I had asked for the cheap $70 portable air kit from amazon. used it a few times so far, love it. Works great on my baby 32s, quickly filling them up from 8PSI to 35PSI. Looks like today it's on sale for $50. For that price, you really can't go wrong. There are a couple of reviews on the web, and write ups on how to upgrade some of the cheap components on it to make it just as good the the $500 systems (but so far, I'm happy with it, the gauge works and the hose doesn't bleed).

So, I recommend it!
http://www.amazon.com/Industries-MV5...0087485&sr=8-1

(And my apologies to our vendors, this is just a wicked deal)

Wow...I had no idea you could get a compressor for that little coin. Pretty awesome.

At that price, even if you're not gonna wheel or air down a lot (which I know is not you, sneck ), it's worth buying anyway, just to have in the Jeep for emergencies.

Good find.

The only thing better than cheap is cheap and works well! I also heard from someone on one of the other forums who uses this system, fills up his 35's quickly.

The "Q" industries make a series of portable air compressors and I have an older Dbbl cylinder one, that fills a tire in less than a minute-

This MV-50 is a goodun. but the Amazon sale is for TODAY ONLY !!

They also have 25% off winchs--

Checkitout

I also have this one and it works great. When I come off the beach there is always a line at the air hoses, but not for me. I alos use it when I need to add air to one of my other vehicles. Much easier than having to find one that works at a gas station.

Oh yeah, I shoulda noted that Amazon says that price is today only! Where do you see winches as 25% off though? Looks to me like they are at the same price as normal (Although maybe cuz the only amazon winch I look at is the recon )

I got the Amazon email this morning too and along with the MV-50 sale, it stated that there would be a 25% price reduction on winchs---but it didn't say sale--IDK

Don't need another winch

Those are pretty decent compressors, especially for the price. Those things used to go for $25 back in the day believe it or not.

Tire Inflator Comparison

It's gone under a ton of different names over the years. Superflow, Masterflow and even Smittybilt has a version. Rumor (and this is only a rumor, so take it for what it's worth) has it this line is finally coming to an end though, so grab it while you can.

Nice Price, and I just read a write up where you can install this compressor in the void behind the tail light

I just cancelled an order for a Viair 400-P Automatic compressor that I'd been eyeing for awhile, and went with the MV-50. So you saved me more than $200 with this thread.

I owe you lunch and beer.

Just to make sure, this plugs into the cig lighter? or do you have to go straight to the battery?

Really considering picking one of these up. Thanks for the post. And it looks like some folks have used a Sinister Fab bracket to mount it underhood.

No worries...eventually I'm gonna buy one of their OBA systems. Just not for awhile yet.

Meanwhile, they're probably hanging up a Sneck poster and hurling darts at it. Or worse.

yeah I had initially looked at one of the lighter types, but it seems they were all just underpowered, or have issues with the fuses blowing out. I think there is one on amazon with a good review, green something. I think you might also be able to buy some type of adapter

*found it!

Amazon.com: Slime COMP06 Pro Power Heavy-Duty Tire Inflator: Automotive

and I guess the problem isn't underpowered, its the amount of amperage most lights put out. Still, it was my second choice since I assumed with the package I have on the JKU I could use the 115v plug in the trunk to fill up

Great find! that is what I was looking for. With three cars, four bikes, countless basketballs, etc. it's nice not having to go direct to the battery every time

for sure. If you get it, let us know how it is! Also, make sure you check the amperage on the jeep first. I think there's a warning on the page, that it has to be 15 amps, and not the standard 8amp on most cigarette lighters

As a side note--

I would NEVER use an air compressor (todays tech.), that plugs into a stock JK/JKU pwr outlet !

Unless you don't mind a 30 minute fill time--PER TIRE !
