Odd Noise - solved!

I had a strange sound coming from my Jeep when I went over bumps. It wouldn't happen all the time, but I discovered I could reproduce it by standing next to it and pushing on the vehicle to get it to rock slightly. The sound was making me a little nutz since I couldn't pinpoint where it came from. I finally called the mech and asked him to have a go at it. We put it up on a lift and walked around testing various spots until it was found in the left rear corner. Removing the bumper revealed the bracket for the rear hook! Apparently when the exhaust system was installed the rear hook was in the way so the former mech removed the hook but left the bracket (unbolted) inside the channel. At least now it's quiet. When I get to the new bumpers I'll have to make sure that the recovery hook in the rear is one that doesn't sit below the bumper...
