OEM Remote Start Problem

The remote start on my new 2012 Unlimited Altitude is acting up on me. After I press the button twice to remote start it will honk twice, crank over, the alarm will go off and it will turn off. The display states "Remote Start Disabled - System Fault." This is really starting to bother me since I've only had the vehicle for about a week and the fault is occurring more often. Has anyone had the same issue and what will the dealership do?

Check your fuel level. If low light is on remote start is disabled.

Alyron, I have plenty of fuel. It started doing it a day or two after I bought it. It's doing it almost every time now.

Cass, I'm definitely going to schedule to have it taken to the dealership.

I wonder if the issue is related to the "upgraded" alarm that they installed that added a shock sensor?

Well, I got ahold of Jeep Corporate and they told me to tell the dealership to remove the alarm or they would call and have them remove it. Since the added shock sensor/added security was removed I haven't had a single issue. The only thing that bothers me is the two small holes where my knees are but I'm sure there will be plenty of scratches to the Jeep as time goes.
