Oem subwoofer box, plug and play?

Hi, I have the opportunity to buy an oem sub box cheap. My jeep has nothing there. Will I be able to just plug it in? Thanx in advance.

Most likely no. Give me a sec and I will post some pics of the wiring. Then just check to see if you have the wires preinstalled. What I remember the sub actually requires quite a few wires. More than the simple power, ground, Audio+, Audio-.

Wow, it requires all speaker wires to run to it. Might want to get the wiring harness out of it too.

Nope...won't work.

First....keep in mind that there are two different sub boxes. I believe the box changed after the 2010 model year. So make sure you have the correct one.

Second....being that you don't already have a sub...that means that you don't have the built in amp (under the dash) to power the sub.

Now, if you plan on running your own amp....that might be a different story.

You could get the oem sub enclosure but you'd need to wire an amp and speaker wires, along with the line out converter
