Question Off Road Instrument Light

So I have a strange question...maybe. When the sun shines in the Jeep with the top off, it can hit my instrument panel just right where I can see what lights are there. One of them says "Off Road". Well, I looked in my Owners Manual, but I can't seem to find anything on it.

Anyone know what this is and when it would turn on? Just curious is all. I like to know as much as I can about my Jeep.

If I had to guess, I'd say it indicates electronically disconnected sway bars on a Rubi...

Only other thing I'd imagine seeing an "off road" indication for from the factory would be CTIS...

Thanks for the response back. Actually there is already an indicator for the sway bar. What does CTIS stand for? Central Tire Inflation System?( just typed it into google)

I have an '09 4 door rubi

It may not do anything. It's fairly common to use the same panel on various vehicles. those spots simply aren't used on vehicles that do not have those options. tis true on the TJ series.

I was thinking the same thing, but I just wanted to be sure.

IIRC it's the same instrument cluster as the Patriot and it is used there.

shared cluster with a liberty... hadn't considered that one

I was thinkin discos you didn't have (you didn't specify so I didn't know) or maybe an addition to the dash "just in case" they wound up fielding CTIS. (google nailed it )

turns out to be selec-trac/command-trac... ewwww...
