Official Owner

The deal is done! I'm now an owner of a 2011 Rubicon. Haven't seen it, or drove it. But my GF is picking it up for me this evening.

It's going to sit in my garage for about a month while I'm out of town. I'll be ordering parts the whole time. Can't wait!!

Feel free to recommend parts and websites. It's my first wrangler.

Thanks!

It's a RUBICON...good choice...what parts are you going to need? Rubicons are pretty much 'trail ready' for anything as a stock vehicle...

very nice!!! If you see some mud on it when you get back, you will know that your gf like it and will fight you to drive it.

As far as parts go. I'm only really dead set on which shocks. Still researching which 3-4 inch lift I'm going with. Going to only have budget for that and a cold air intake, exhaust, programer, seat covers, and extended drive shafts if necessary. I really want those bump stops called "speed bumps" but they are freaking high $.

Wheels and tires will have to wait.

Any other idea so power adders or other fun upgrades?

Does tires and lift void the warranty?

I'd laugh my ass off if it was covered in mud when I got home.

Your girlfriend will have that thing out & about, you think you are getting it when you get home? I think she is going to like it way to much to give it to you!
Better buy another one

Welcome and congrats on the new rubi! I'm still pretty new...just learning myself. In my humble opinion I would take it slow and do your research. Make sure you understand "what else" you might need to modify if you do a 3-4 inch lift. As far as warranty...just search "lift and warranty". Just drive it and have fun for a while!

Thanks for your opinion. I know if I go 4" or more I'll need ext. drive shafts and brake lines, and a drop pitman. That will be fine. It will be getting lifted asap.

Yes it is... I had a SRT8 grand cherokee, my roommate bought SRT8 Chally. Ended up selling the jeep. Now my DD is a Kia forte.

I love that color. I got a really good price on mine because it was the last 2010 on the lot, so I didn't really have a choice in color.
I gotta say though, I love being the only Rescue Green 2dr in my town.

Hold off on CAI, exhaust and programmer... chances are one of those 3 could void your warranty. Besides save your money for more practical things like bumpers, tires/rims and maybe a head unit with gps
