I change mine by the way that I drive it, if I drive it on the street for 2 or 3 months I'll wait for 6k miles if I offroad it within that time I'll change it soon after 3k.

My new Rubi came on ~2500 miles. I chalked it up to possibly setting an oil change for a break in period until it went off again right before 5000. I had taken it in for the first oil change since it was free, but when the second one went off around 2500 more miles (4880 or something), I changed oil and filter and went fully synthetic and have gone over 3000 so far and the change oil warning has not come on yet. I am curious when it will come on thought. I drive it the same way every day so it's not my driving. We shall see how long it goes for.

Put in key, turn to "on", do not start it. Tap the accelerator three times within 10 seconds, and then turn the key "off", All reset.

What's the mileage count when you reset it that way? Is it 6,000?

The dealer can set the max distance before trip. Mine has been set to 6000 and it trips 500 early to give me a chance to make an appointment and get it in. It always goes in at 6000 not 5500. I've had several oil changes now and it never varies.

The last time I had the oil changed it was done by a dealer in Florida. They set it to 3,000 for some reason. When it reached 2500 miles it tripped and I just did the reset without changing the oil. When it trips again, it will go in at 6000 like it has since the first change.

Turn you ket all the way just short of starting it.

Press the gas pedal 3 times fast within 10 seconds.

Turn it off.

It is now reset!

Not sure if you can set it up? maybe someone can chime in?
