Up to you. I hate chrome on any JK. Some folks love it. Your choice.

If you do decide to take them off, go through the whole process of dropping the bumpers to do so. Those things sell like hotcakes on CL in this area.

I can get front off no problem. Do u have any idea how hard it is to drop rear bumper to do it?

From what I've read, it's easy. 6, maybe 8 bolts? Someone else will chime in, I'm sure, and give you a quick tutorial on how to do it. I just want to make sure anyone getting rid of them knows that there is a market for them. You might could even sell them on the For Sale section on here, if you can figure out a good price with shipping.

No faux, without a doubt.

And removing the rear bumper is really easy. Six bolts, iirc. Seriously, takes about as long to remove as it does to eat a sandwich...if you're a slow eater.

The socket you want is a 16mm, I think. You'll be shocked at how light the bumper is.

Here's a thread with some pics of before/after faux chrome removal on a red Jeep:

Removed my silver/"chrome" bumper covers

Also, check out post #6...there are photos of where the bolts are on rear bumper.

Question pertaining to bumpers, I've decided on the PS Rock Brawlers for my Jeep.

Has anyone ever mounted these in their native steel form?

What happens if they don't get powder coated?

I don't know...they'll either look really awesome, or they'll rust like crazy.

Great looking bumpers, though.

I would e-mail or call em. Rust might look good on a Crush, but it would clash with your red, IMO.

Yeah, my sentiments as well.

I'd leave 'em bare if they came in aluminum. On their site they have a naked picture mounted and me likee.

I'll tell you what they recommend after I call them.

I've vacillated from JCR Crusaders to the AEV Premiums and the Brawler Lites seems like a happy medium.

I've seen quite a few photos of them mounted in the raw, but most have been product photos or ads. Can't trust those.

I like the naked look, too.

Money shot. Looks like it's just been painted silver.

Hmmm, everyone has different opinions, go with what YOU like. No right or wrong answer, but my opinion is, "Chrome wont get you home".
