OK, so I love polls

But I would like to see how all of my new Jeep Buds here at Wrangler Forum are using their Jeeps. How many of us off road? How many of us do not now and have no plans to ever off road?

Let me just say this... I do not have a problem with someone having a Jeep and never getting off the pavement. These babies are just plain fun to drive both on the road and off road. I do not consider someone to be a "poser" if they keep their Jeeps on the pavement.

It doesn't even offend me if someone puts a lift and big tires on his Jeep and never goes off road. Hey, it is YOUR money that you are spending on Jeep payments and it is YOUR money you are spending for mods. If you are happy with what you are spending your money for, good for you and it "ain't no skin off my nose."

So, please don't be bashful about admitting that you do not plan to off road. My guess is that the vast majority of Wranglers never see dirt.

I hope we can have some fun with this poll.

Tomster

So there will eventually be an actual poll in this poll, or are you just into talking about stuff?

Because there is a difference. Just saying

My '08-JKUR is used 99.9% off-road-

All my "MODs" are for pleasure/convenience/safety and survival

I've had many sports/exotic and road/race cars and driving my jeep on the hiwy isn't "exciting"-

DD moderate here, though that's probably pushing it. I avoid the deep water.

The poll is showing up now. Not sure why it wasn't at first.

I'll either get a deal on a 2012 or order a 2013, but plan to have it up in the mountains shortly after I get it. Nothing extreme since it will be all stock (for now), but I plan to use it offroad throughout the year.

Where I live, every trip to town and back is off-road. Dirt roads and pasture.

I think the main issue with this poll, is how people define "moderate" or "heavy" offroading, I know some that consider fire roads and gravel roads "moderate" offroading...

most days it sits in the garage, waiting for me

some days it goes skiing

some days it goes off road

some days it goes to town

some days it rides around behind the RV

some days it gets cleaned and washed

some days it gets a mod or two or three

some days it gets some maintenance

I have a car to drive to work - works great on asphalt, didn't cost a lot (compared to the Jeep) and costs a lot less to run, plus I have no desire to make any upgrades to it.

Bought the Jeep to go wheeling - works great off-road, don't care how much it takes to run, and I can't seem to stop making upgrades to it. If I couldn't go wheeling I would sell the Jeep.

The only time my JKU sees "off-road" is when I go to Jeep Beach and Jeeptoberfest. Otherwise it is my daily driver and I don't wheel my dd anymore. I learned that lesson the hard way. I bought a YJ to play with. I just have to get it built up a little more and get a little more reliable so I can take it to those events also.
