I am most certainly NOT cool. I never really have been. Now I'm a 49 year old dad and I am sure its quite the opposite .
Yesterday I went drone racing with friends (see not cool), it was 75 deg no humidity. I decided to go doors off, top down and tunes up. It was such an awesome relaxing drive. It felt good, like a massage while eating your favorite food kinda good. Now I'm in the chill zone, feeling good. I decided to stop and get a bite to eat on the way home. I drove through a drive through and realized that these women were doing the klutzy walking into walls, while looking at me thing (they were at least collage age I'm not a perv). Holy crap! I haven't seen that since I was 19 fresh out of basic training. I get up to the window and I got the shaky voice while they are all blushing and looking straight at me, "we love your car!".
This jeep is just oozing cool. Quoting Bill Engvall "for the first time in my life I was cool!"
LOL. 47 year old dad here. My daughter does competitive cheer so I have to endure multiple practices, etc each week with cheer moms who barely give me the time of day...until I started driving the Jeep, lol. I took her to her cheer team picnic Saturday evening and we rolled in with the top off, etc. More than one mom came over to talk while we were there. When it was time to leave, a group of five all waved and said goodbye. I thought it was hilarious.
I notice a lot of people staring at my jeep all the time. Not many people walk by it in a parking lot without having a good look. doors off and top down really turns heads. Feels even better knowing I built it myself
Now reverse that situation and think about all the attention your wife gets while SHE drives it.... My wife LOVES driving my Jeep and I know exactly why. Hahaha

I am 65 and just took the doors off my 6 year old JK for the first time this week. I am getting waves, stares, and people stoping to look all the time. Probably won't put them on again until Fall!
I have two Jeeps, a 97 and a 2014 JKU. The TJ is naked, minor lift, winch and lights and I get an occasional compliment and some looks. The 14 is stock except for bumpers and a winch. Sitting in traffic this young lady is walking by, sees the Jeep and breaks into the biggest smile and wave I've ever seen. She walked into a parking lot and turned and waved again. Looking at my left hand on the steering wheel, I continued on my way but I would have loved to stop and chat her up. Like I tell my wife, "It's a Jeep thing".
I guess I have always been cool. I have driven classic cars all my life, they have always had that effect on women too. I still have a '71 El Camino, '84 Buick Grand National, and '47 Chevy Sport Coupe. Although this summer none of them have moved, I've been Jeeping it in my newest toy, and plan to for the rest of the season. The classics can come back out next summer.
People come up to me in parking lots and at gas pumps all the time complimenting the Jeep and asking what I do for a living.
You get used to being worshiped.

Yes, these Jeeps just ooze coolness. Gas station, Lowe's parking lot, random Forest campsight, just about anywhere you can expect to get ogled and get the random questions about the Jeep... Not to mention being told how bad ass you are. Okay, okay, my wife gets those comments...
They are pretty bad ass! Just a lift and bigger tires totally transforms the jeep into something of pure awesomeness. I've never gotten so much attention in a vehicle as I do in my jeep. I often have to spend up to 1/2 hour in a parking lot while someone drools over it. Heck, I often find myself looking at it and laughing saying in my head "damn that thing is sick!"
Your post had me smiling from ear to ear...I've always had boring cars/trucks back when I was young once I turned 40 I went to Jeeps ...this is my second Jeep. My first Jeep I never really added anything to it just tires(money). Now with this 2014 JKU it is fully modified rock krawler and with my doors/top off this Jeep is the coolest vehicle I've ever owned...here's the thing I like be anonymous when I drive around..well that went out the door when I bought this Wrangler. I'm now 47 and I don't think I have ever had a vehicle that attracts so many people to my Jeep in my life. I have a Purple Heart plate on it also so I always get salutes from strangers and thank you's especially when I am driving around in my Multi Camo (Reserves) . I've had 2 females ask me to drive them around in my Jeep at a store. I said "I'm sorry, I can't." Happily married and I shudder to think what would happen if my wife caught me driving around two blondes in my Jeep around/near our neighborhood. I've caught 2 teens in my Jeep at the local grocery store 2 years ago chilling in my back bench seats...they apologized/laughed and complimented me on my Jeep I just SMH and said thanks(Im easy going). Whenever I drive around with my Husky "Timber" it's darn right cool to have him with me. I usually take him with me fishing/overland and people compliment me on him and the Jeep....it sure is an attention getter ...was never my intention but oh well I guess it comes with the territory.....thanks for the Post brings back memories. Here is my Husky TImber...in the back seat.
