OK Who moved the power window buttons !

A humorous rant. This is my FIRST Wrangler and I keep trying to open the windows but...there's NO power switch where I am used to finding it !

After driving cars for almost 40 years I never had a vehicle that you opened the windows from the middle of the dashboard !

Yeah, while my dealer was finalizing tags and plates, I sat in the jeep for a good 20 minutes until he came out and was like "trying to figure out how to lower the windows?

I felt pretty dumb, but it makes me feel better every time someone gets in and can't figure out how to lower them. Took me almost 2 weeks to find the ones for the rear windows.

Eh the power mirror isn't as cleverly disguised I think. I've seen alot of trucks with almost the exact setup. I think its really just so confusing on the windows because on the 4door especially, with the window lock there it just looks like another air vent. I'm sure on the 2d it sticks out, but on the 4d, forget it. It just blends in, and has no labeling.

I actually had to pull the manual up online to find the back window buttons. They blend.

The Alfa Romeo Spider '94 has got the same Though, being it an Italian car, nothing happends using that switch. You have the literally 'pull' the window up and down :P

Which is why power windows make no sense. The doors are supposed to be hanging in the garage.

The Libby has them in the middle....
I often get crossed up when I go from my car to my Jeep...

Is it a Jeep thing? I don't know where they are on the Cherokee...

Took me awhile to get used to my '03 Liberty. This last summer I took care of my niece and nephew for two weeks...told them my windows rolled down with "mind power." After a few demonstrations they busted me.

and if they aren't its either raining or too cold to open the windows anyway. Although I guess the rain hasn't really made you put the doors on

Ya I have to admit I too was caught "looking" for them.....but funny, now I think this maybe the best place for the buttons! I love it.

My wife is still confused however. She misses it EVERYTIME!!!!.....The Jeep confuses her......so much so she hasn't even driven it and we've had it three months!......maybe the 6 spd too......

If they put the buttons on the doors you could not lower the windows when the doors are off. Crazy but brilliant.

My Wrangler, my previous Liberty, and my parents' Vue all have center mounted window controls. Any you know what? I STILL reach for the door to roll the windows down!
