olympic side bars on jk unlimited?

Anybody have experience with the Olympic side bars?

There's the telescoping side bars or double side bars that flip up and down. How hard is it to move these into the different positions?

I like the idea of side protection and a less obtrusive step.

I followed your link and looked. Nice looking toy but where's the beef? One little ding on that and the function of moving it back and forth will be killed. As for protection from scrapes, it will depend if it bends under the weight of the jeep. My guess would be that it won't support much. To protect the sides you need some serious metal permanently positioned. I currently have the stock rock rails. Once they take a hit and get dented, I'll replace them. Sooner if I can afford it.

I have Oly sliders, but they're " Rock" sliders

They're very solid and don't move any direction

Some 3M tape on top and they're a good step

The double side bars have to be unbolted to flip them, so pretty much (if you're like me) they'll stay in the position they are installed in forever. The telescoping ones don't look like they'd hold up very well, but that's JMO....
