One quick question before I place my order.

My seats in my 08 JKU X are molding. I will be having them cleaned and I want to order these seat cover. I just wanted to make sure there is no reason why I should not. I know it says they will fit but I just need to be 100%. I know it says for 07 but is there that much of a difference.

Smittybilt Front Neoprene Seat Covers with FREE Rear Cover for 07 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

Okay this one says 07-11 what about these.

Call them or check with a PM to Joe to make sure. You need to treat the mold before you cover them or you will have some really bad issues.

I will be having the JEEP detailed this weekend. I can not take the chance of it getting any worse.

My experience from calling Quadratec with product fitment questions is that they just reiterate what's in the product description. Not much help.

Mold is really nasty stuff. What is the detailer going to do to specifically treat the mold issue? "Normal" interior detailing does not usually include mold mitigation.

He is going to treat the mold with whatever. I talked to him today and he is not just going to steam clean the seat.

I had the same when I talked to them. No biggie. As long as they fit I'm happy and if they don't I covered my ass.

Why are your seats growing mold?

My soft top leaked for the first 4 months of owning it. The dealership tried to fix it 6 times before they finally replaced it. The first couple of time the seat got so wet it was dripping right out of the bottom.

And there is no mold or stench anywhere else in the vehicle??? If the seat was getting wet enough to drip through the bottom, isn't the carpet moldy under it. Has the dealer taken out the carpet to inspect the floorpan for rust?

Has Chrysler agreed to go further e.g. replace the seat and all other affected areas and take care any rust issues if the "detailing" does not cure it? Is there a reason why you did not go Lemon Law?

My seats have been dripping water everywhere before, granted it was intentional, and they had plenty of time to dry out after... Just getting wet shouldn't cause them to grow stuff. They are made to get wet, and in fact look much better after a nice bath occasionally. But I suppose if they never have a chance to fully dry, it could become an issue....

The dealership knows about the issue and I will be sending them pic and recipe that I have had it taken care of. I was never able to really dry out the seat the right way because it was happening back in march april may. So with the weather here I was never really able to let it sit in the sun to really dry out.

Same here. They actually don't take long to dry outside in the sun with the top and doors off.

Is the dealer covering all cost? With many times at the dealer it would fall under the lemon law I would think. My Jeep is two months old and leaking. I will take it to the dealer next week. I have informed them about the issues and they insure they will fix it right the first time. I have no clue as to why the dealerships do not check for leaks when they wash the vehicle prior to the delivery. Oh...that would make sense and save time woudln't it?
