This has to happen to everyone else too. Every time I order Jeep parts that I need online I have to add something to get the free shipping. The stupid thing I added is the only thing I get along with a note saying that the parts I needed are backordered, and will ship out someday. Then, for the next two weeks I get endless emails about special offers and deal of day crap from them. When I placed my order I wasn't made aware that what I wanted isn't in stock, and all I end up with is another t-shirt for my wife:atomic: From now on I'm gonna put in the instructions "don't send me anything if any portion of this order is not in stock".
Most places aren't anywhere near large enough to even begin to stock every single part ever made for a Jeep. That could save them money, which they pass onto you as a lower price (or offer free shipping).
I get that. I'm talking about common parts that people need to replace all the time. I've been waiting for 2 months for a Fox steering stabilizer from one place (to their credit no place seems to have it) even though they sent me a flyer with it in the ad. Also been waiting on a winch controller from another place. Time to start buying from Amazon I guess
I'm not saying that it couldn't happen to them also, but I ordered some parts from Northridge 4x4, and they will now get first shot at everything I'm looking for. Their system tells me if it's in stock. I ordered last night at 10 pm, and I'm scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I didn't expect to get it that quick, but it's sure nice to know whether it's in stock before you place the order.
Thanks for the kind words! As you said our New site Jeep Parts, Lift Kits, Armor, Bumpers, Suspension, Winches - Northridge4x4 does give inventory and very soon if it is out of stock it will tell you when we expect them or estimated time to get to you. We are doing our best so you keep shopping with Jeep enthusiast instead of the big A .
