Opinion on poly door hinge bushings?

Jeep Wrangler JK ('07&Newer) 2-Door Hinge Bushing with Installation Tool Set - Black

I sent a PM to Magnitude a few days ago, but they only seem to show up here once a week, and then only to post a new thread to this product.

So, their response time sucks but if the product is good, I'm still willing to purchase it. Anyone have a review on this or a similar product?

thanks

Just an update, that I did finally hear from Magnitude. They offered me a $5 discount as a WF member. I appreciated them doing that so wanted to let everyone know. I'll post a review once they arrive.

Just look at it this way... you also got the installation tool!

For the bushing only, your site was $40.00

My upper ones are shot. I'm sure my nephew standing on my tube doors while latched didn't help. I'm gonna buy a set. Not sure which company to go with. Is the tool really necessary? Kinda like a melon scooper; wouldn't a regular spoon do the trick.

Bushings arrived today. Took all of 3 minutes to install them.

Factory bushing were quite bad looking.

New bushings seem sturdy but won't know how they do until after some use.

Very handy. Meant to mention it.

Not gonna say its a must but it did make it easy to remove the factory bushings.

Didn't need it to put the new ones in as they just slid in.

If you use the tool I recommend spraying it with some wd40 when removing the factory bushings.

Both products are Delrin - which has a good rep for strength and durability. I have seen Delrin rods twisted into hoops and then released and they go right back to the original shape. Very good product to use for something like this which is also why it's a bit more expensive than a plain plastic.

I didn't even realize the doors used bushings. I never noticed them on my YJ or TJ. Took the doors off the JK to paint the hinges. One of the doors was always stiff. I cleaned out the hinge and there was some plastic in there. I figured it was a bushing at one time. I don't plan to replace them. The door works much better since I scraped the old one out. I'm pretty sure a little grease will do fine.
