Opinions on rear bumper?

My brother built these for his Jeep, I was just wondering what you guys thought! Let me know. It has a notch for the spare, d rings, and recessed back up lights in it.

The only thing i would have done differently is placed the lights closer to the hitch. Looks good!

I think he put the lights out there because it throws light out to the sides of the Jeep so he can use his mirrors to back up. There's not much seeing around that 35 in his rear view mirror. At least I think that's why, haha idk what is ever going through his mind and I really don't wanna know :/

Really cool. I like the wide backup lights. Gives it a good look.

Yes sir he does. He has done three front bumpers for my TJ and 3 rear bumpers for it as well. You can check out my Jeep profile or I can post some up if you'd like

Like the looks of that rear bumper on yours (pic no.7) but it looks very heavy--not sure I need that substantial of a rear bumper-the RR I have has a built in swing out tire carrier but it is starting to show it's age. Starting to look for replacement-want small inexpensive and light weight-with a swing out---I know I know-may as well ask for the moon.

Great job on the bumper. But I haven't even looked into doing anything yet, but it would be a good design to follow. I made the front bumpers for my TJ and JKU and the rear bumper for my TJ. Have thought about the rear bumper but never put anything down on paper yet!

If you wrap a little black duct tape around your shackles, they will not "tap" on the bumper, or get the isolators from quadratec, I had that problem

The thickness was 3/16" and thanks for the tip to prevent shackle noise

Shouldn't be too heavy then a buddy and my self built a tire carrier with two jerry can holders that was all swingout for his grand cherokee. It was 1/4" plate (mostly) and with the jerry cans full his jeep would squat bad!

We built a rear tire carrier for mine ( the one in my Jeep profile) and it was dang heavy. Once I took it off my jeep felt like it was a race car

Your brother does nice work! Don't do anything to tick him off and don't say "NO" when he wants to borrow your Jeep!
