opinions wanted contemplating rear plate relocation

Just mocked up "obviously" I'm thinking using a two inch hitch into the receiver to hold the plate via possibly magnet. Or could adapt it to my bike rack also. "thats the only time i use the receiver". Trying to make it more aesthetically symetrical in the rear and clean it up also. the new plate location hides the factory receiver and plug well. No lower than hitch receiver, but it's a wider footprint, does limit ground clearance a tiny bit,but she is on the road 99% of the time.

Playing devil's advocate, aren't you worried about ripping it off when wheeling?
(This coming from someone with a hi lift jack on the hitch...)

I saw a cool idea yesterday and should have taken a picture.
The guy took the license plate frame off and put the plate back on... just molded/bent/banged the plate around the corner of the jeep. Might sound ghetto, but I thought it looked pretty ool. Not sure if bending the plate is a DMV violation or not? Meh; bottom line: It looked hard!

Eh, not really my thing. I don't hate it in the factory location, though I have to say I don't like it under the spare.
