Ok, so I am wanting to get some nice floor liners for my 2015 JK 2 Door, and I thought I had my mind made up to go with the Weather Tech, but after looking at the Quadratech Ultimate Floor Liners, I am not so sure. For one, it doesn't look like the Weather Tech rear mats will fit my 2 door and the Quadratech looks like it will and the Quadratech is cheaper as well, looks like about $130 plus shipping for the Quadratech compared to $130 for just the front Weather Tech Liners and then still have to find some for the rear.
Any opinions?? Would like to hear from some JK owners who have either or have had both and which may be the best or is one just as good as the other????
I am a big fan of Weathertech. Have then in several of my vehicles. I have tried the Husky brand, but no comparison to Weathertech.
But if Weathertech do not have them for the 2 door Jeep second row, go with the Quadratec (after confirming they will fit the second row) for a complete match.
BTW, just ordered a set of Weathertech for my Jeep Unlimited
Weather Tech hands down. Only reason most people don't buy them is because they are pricey...as the saying goes...you get what you pay for. Do it right the first time and buy Weather Techs.
Ok, I don't think the Weather Tech will fit the 2nd row of the 2 door JK, BUT let me throw Rugged Ridge Liners in the mix. The Rugged Ridge do have some that will fit the 2 Door JK 2nd row.
How is the comparison between them and the Quadratech Ultimate Floor Liners??? Which one is the best between those 2?
I've had the Quadratec liners in my Jeep Commander and now in my Wrangler. I love them. Can't speak for the Weathertech's though. Quadratec's are heavy duty and protect the floorboards and floorboard side-walls. And they have a much better look than the Weathertech liners in my opinion.
I paid the extra $ for the Tread Lightly logo which matches my Wrangler. Here are a couple pics.......I also have the rear cargo liner which I don't have a picture of unfortunately.
I have had Weathertechs in the past, great floor mats. Went with the quadratecs this time around, they were offering a free cargo liner if you bought front and back. They work great, material seems like good quality and they use the factory mounts.
My vote for the quadratech ones. I had the weather techs in my old jku three or four years ago. To me they were just too much plastic and bent out of shape eventually. Not sure if the design has changed since then although. I can tell you that the QT ones are a nice heavy duty rubber and fit well.
I just picked up my 2015 JKUR, last week. The first thing I installed was the Quadratec mats. Front, rear and cargo. They fit like a glove, look great and perform flawlessly as advertised. The only complain if there is one at all, is I wish it would extend a little further under the gas pedal but other than that they are an outstanding product and great customer service. I did look at weather tech and was going to buy them but the only thing I didn't like was when I finally got to see a set of floor mats in person, I wasn't impressed with the feel of the material (for the price) and the amount of debris is would be able to hold when needed.
I've had Weathertech in lots of vehicles and I have them in my 2015 JKU Rubicon. The ONLY thing I'm not crazy about, is the way they attach to the floor. It allows the mat to move back and forth a bit. Not much, but enough that I find it a little annoying. It's a first world problem.
i have a set of weathertech's in my wifes 2015 A3 (just the front row and the cargo liner, no 2nd row available yet). i also have set of husky weatherbeater's in my 2015 jku. both are of similar quality. very nice molded fit, no movement, very high side walls to hold lots of crap. i would not say weathertech is better than the huskys. they are about the same imo. the weathertech does look nicer (different texture, deeper black, nicer logo), but these are floormats that will get trash and mud all over them and its about functionality here...
I have Weathertechs in my GMC and Quadratecs in my JKU. You can not go wrong with either set. The only thing that bothers me about the weathertechs are the sides have a tendency to bend easily and fold. I have this issue in my GMC which are only a year old.
I chose Quadratec over the other because their 99% the same thing. The fit is the same the look is the same, only difference, weatherttech is prolly a bit more heavy duty. For the price though I didn't think it was worth it. 69.99 for the front for my 2013 fit great and do an amazing job 39.99 for the universal rear which work just has good. If you want the weatherttech name on your floor that would be the only reason I would chose that one.
Q techs in our 13 and they were great. Our 15 came with Mopars and they are pretty nice but I would prefer the Q techs. I personally like the thread pattern look of the Q's and Mopars.
Weather Tech doesn't make the rear mats for my 2010 2 door otherwise I might have purchased them. I have the Quadratec ones since I wasn't looking to buy different fronts and rears. I have been happy with the Quadratec mats which are the same as the Rugged Ridge ones as far as I can see (except for the logo). According to Quadratec, the reason the front driver side mat is shaped the way it is is because they didn't want to risk the mat getting caught on the accelerator pedal and causing a risk for an accident. Also, the Husky Classic liners are the only ones that make matching rear mats, not the Husky Weather Beaters. No love for the 2010 2 door.
WeatherTechs in EVERY vehicle I own UNTIL I put the Qtecs in my JKUS.
I like the Qtecs much more. Heavier duty, deeper channels, Great Fit, Better in a Jeep IMO.
WeatherTechs certainly blazed a trail and they market their product well. They simply are not the end all be all anymore, the competition caught up and in ways passed them. The WT's do not "age" well either. They scratch and dull and end up looking crappy unless you do what you'll regret and apply something like Armorall and then you'll break your ass.
I've got weather tech fronts and rugged ridge rears in my 2 door. I don't think weather tech makes rear mats for the 2 door unfortunately. The weather tech fronts are amazing, like a fitted bucket that never slips or moves on the carpet underneath. The rugged ridge rears are ok, but they are just little single mats, I wish someone made a fitted one-piece that covered the hump as well on a 2 door.
I have Weathertech in all my vehicles and love them. I like that they are made in the USA, not sure if the others are. I have only the fronts in my JK, haven't had the rear seats installed since the day we brought it home so it's a non-issue for me.
Agonized (in other words spent WAY too much brain power) over this question when I bought my 2008 JKU 18 months ago. Ordered the Rugged Ridge set for front and back. The drivers mat doesn't fit well on the edges - there are large gaps. The Passenger and Rear fit great. Also don't like how much effort it takes to remove the fronts to empty crap. Will probably go with Qtechs soon - every time i get in the jeep i see the gaps and it pisses me off!
Their is a small gap in both front sides near the door. I like my Quadratecs though and I think the gap is ok not to big at all. It's actually helped me when I've been fighting with my soft top leaking right there by the front doors. If it was real close up it still would have dripped down to the carpet. With the gap my mats have it allowed it to dry fine and not have to take the mats out in fear of mildew.
Can't speak to a Jeep, because I have the Mopar liners that came with my JKURX, but I have Weather Tech in my Subaru and Dodge Ram, and they are flawless. If I ever have to replace my stock Jeep liners, it will be Weather Tech. Personally I think the Weather Tech liners I have for my other vehicles are better than the Mopar ones that came with the Jeep.
Love WT's but not in my 2014. They have a new Velcro anchoring system. In short, it sucks. WT sent me new liner with supposedly improved adhesive. Same issue, the adhesive gives way before the Velcro. The anchoring system also allows them to slide around a bit, plus, with no deep channels or grooves, sand, pebbles become ball bearings under you feet. Sent them back, full refund for the whole set. WT is a great company but a fail on this one.
Got the QT liners. Love them. Solid anchors, don't slide around, deep groves to trap pebbles, look great. Go Qtech.
You can see more about the WT liners on my build thread. For the record, their tan doesn't match the saddle interior all that well and they show scuffs.
I have the Jeep floor mats from Mopar. However, I can attest to Weathertech's customer service. I bought a new 2014 Silverado PU last Feb. I got a set of Weathertech floor liners for the front & rear. Long story short-the frnt passenger side floor liner was warped a little. I took it back to the LINEX guy I bought them from & he took a pic & sent it to Weathertech. Within a couple of weeks they sent me 2 brand new floor liners -driver's and passenger's side. They did not ask for the old ones back. A+ in my book.
I've run both, though not in the same vehicle. Weathertech are awesome. I think the quadratec feel flimsy and less likely to hold up as long as weathertech. In your situation I'd get WT for the front and figure something out for the rear. Mopar are nice too.
Wow, this is the first I have heard someone use the word flimsy regarding the Quadratec's. I have no experience with Weather Tech but the Quadratec's to me seem pretty thick and sturdy and seem like they will last a long time.:bop:
