Options. Do I have any?

Hi All,

Great forum BTW.

Had my [new to me] 2007 Wrangler X 6sp for almost a week. I am trying to figure any factory options I might have. I have cloth seats, which when I looked it up online said it was part of a package. The only 2 other things listed as part of a package are a leather wrapped steering wheel and cruise control, which I have neither. Could in fact my jeep have come with just cloth seats?

How can I tell if I have the Dana 44 rear end? One website listed it as an option.

How can I tell if I have a rear LSD?

How do I know what my Final Gear Ratio is?

I apologize for all the questions, this is my first jeep.

Thank you in advance for your help.

No problem. It's easy to tell which rear diff you have and gears. Just look at the rear pumpkin. Most likely it's a D44, since it's a JK, but there were a few '07's that got D35's, iirc. There's a metal tag on the back of the rear diff on the left side with a bunch of #'s embossed in it. The last 3 #'s are the gears. You'll probably need to wipe off the tag and take a flashlight to read it... Here's a pic to help you differentiate between the differentials...

If you want to find out what Package, if any, your Jeep came with originally, you can contact Jeep at 1-877-426-5337. Provide them with your VIN, and tell them you'd like to obtain a "Build Sheet" for your Jeep.

This will have everything that was listed as Standard and Option, when your Jeep was built.

Best of Luck!

Cheers!

Also, as for the rear axle, the only 2007's that got the dreaded (and rightly so) D35 were automatic 4-doors, so you're safe Congrats on the new rig! Mark W.

Blackbeard is right on with this - I did the same except I emailed them and they sent the build sheet back the next day. try customerassist@chrysler.com - might be easier than having it mailed/faxed to you.
the build sheet will give you every thing that it left the plant with.
