Ordered my soft top today!

Thanks to all who assisted me in a different thread...I now have a good piece of advice for new people when they ask--get the soft top or both!

I didn't ask if it comes w clear or tinted windows--anyone know if there is even a choice?

Mine came with tinted windows. Not sure if "dual tops" packages offers tint and OEM purchased separately come clear.

Tinted aoft top windows are an option, may also be part of a package!

Oh boy...spent a couple hours following the instructions, which are vague as hell. Finally get to a good point and screws are missing. Not happy.

Going to have the dealer put this damn thing together..,so now the question is...can they take the hard top off, put the soft top on, then get me home with both? Or do I have to plan ahead and show up fairly naked?

soft top is a pain in the ass to put together, the hardest part was getting the canvas top folded right to fit in metal frame part. took me a while but finally got it. ive seen jeeps with the soft top under the hard top but ive heard if you drive it around like that it will ruin the soft top from all the bumping around while driving it will rub holes in it. if you plan on leaving the soft top on for the summer i would just say drive it there with no top. it will just leave one less thing for you to deal with when you get home. as for the top just give it a little time in the sun it will stretch. at first you will have a little bit of a hard time getting it to close but it will loosen up with time. you can watch videos on youtube on getting it on also for the future. good luck

i bought the dual top version with my 2012 4 door sahara but im finding i like the hard top the best and i decided to sell off the un-used soft top.

i procrastinated trying to do the install myself as it can be a real pain the first time.

we just went to contract on our vacation home where i was going to store the hard top and so it looks like using the soft top is history.

ill put it up in the classifieds .

My screws for the soft top were already installed . Just open the zipper on the pole and they may be there from the removal after delivery.

Ended up Taking it to the dealer. They installed in wrong, which realllly pissed me off. Took it up and they had it corrected next day. Made me a little happier. Spent about 45 minutes trying to put it back up and figured out the tricks...should take about 5 minutes next time. Happy now
