ordered Truck-lites.

I know I probably screwed up but I could not take the crap headlights any more and yesterday odered a set of generation 2 truck-lites from Northridge. They told me that they now come packaged with all the right connections for plug and play. $450 shipped. A lot for headlights but I drive to work in the dark and come home in the dark and live in deer infested country. Stock headlights are about like holding a candle out the window.

I just installed mine today. Waiting for dark to see how they work. When I tried them side by side it was noticbly brighter in daylight

lights showed up yesterday and I took 15 minutes today to install them. Easy as can be. I did use dielectric grease on the connections which made the connections slide in easier as most of the you tube videos show people struggling with connecting the harness to the light. In my garage with the lights out no signs of flicker so hopefully I won't have any.

Flicker may not appear when the car is off, but when it's on and idling.

Good luck with these. They look good. I was wanting to order these, but got tired of waiting for the upgraded adaptor. After someone posted that the JW Speakers had no flicker if made after Aug 17th, I went and ordered them. Now, people say they still flicker. So, I hope I don't have a problem when they come in. Otherwise, I guess we both we'll be getting the ralleylights harness.

Why don't they just include the harness or provide it as an option? Maybe they do?

I don't notice the flicker unless I'm paying close attention to the beam, and even then, it doesn't annoy me enough to want that ralleylight harness.

The harness to fix the flicker is in their engineering stage. I checked again last week and they told me they felt it would be in production by month end for sales in February. No costs disclosed yet but I am sure it won't be real cheap.

The flicker is all but undetectable. The only time you'll ever notice is if you're at idle and sitting close behind someone at a traffic light. It's nothing to be concerned about, at all. I had to try to notice it, and it's there, but like I said you can barely perceive it unless you're consciously looking for it.

It's certainly not something I'd spend another $40 to get rid of and introduce another point of failure into the electrical system as well.

I couldn't agree more!!! I bought mine on day 2 of my Jeep, and I love them!!! The flicker is absolutely no problem for me. I think it got blown out or proportion, but that's my personal opinion.

the biggest issue I see is not with the truck lites themself but with the lack of horizontal adjustment on the jk/jku's. The only adjust vertically which is kind of strange. Last night in the dark they were great but this morning on my way home from work it was dark and foggy and it was evident that the lenses need some horizontal repositioning. Not sure how I am going to do it because the conditions need to be right and then there is no quick way like there is up and down.

I will say there is zero flicker idling or otherwise.
