Ordering 2013 Rubi Tomrw!!! - Any advice? =)

So I think I have my build set, but as this would be my first Jeep as well as my first dealer purchase I was wondering what the forum thought! Any advice on my build as well as what to do/ask at the dealer would great!

Some of the questions that are still on my mind are the differences between the 430 and 730 Uconnect, is the bluetooth the only diff? Is it worth it?

Does the max tow package automatically take away the 4.10 axle ratio? I definitely want the 4.10 but would opt out of the max tow if thats the case.

Also, I would be ordering through the fleet manager and was wondering if aside from setting the OTD price, I should also try and negotiate and set a contract for the finance rate and payments? Or should I wait until the vehicle is delivered and in good condition before signing anything? IF they are pretty set on the price what perks do you guys think I can try and get for free lol.

Here is my current build:

2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubi - Black

DMF 4.10 Rear Axle Ratio
HAB Air Conditioning w/Auto Temp Control
AAJ Connectivity Group
CJ1 Supplemental Frt Seat Side Air Bags
JPM Heated Front Seats
RHR Uconnect 730N CD/DVD/MP3/HDD/NAV
AEM Dual Top Group
CWA MOPAR Slush Mats
XBM Remote Start System
DGJ Automatic Transmission
ALX9 (Black)Leather Trimmed Bucket Seats
AHQ Max Tow Package

Thanks for any new Jeep buying advice guys! I know I'm a newb on the forums but I'm definitely excited about buying my first Jeep, I just hope I dont look too excited in front of the dealer when negotiating lol. Thanks!

You will have 4.10 with the max tow.

Sorry can't help on anything else.

I heard most people go with 430. I don't know the difference but I am happy with my 430.
And I think accessories like slush mat can be bought cheap from ebay or amazon.

If you get the auto And max tow it puts your gears at 3.73 unless you add the 4.10.

You can get a ton of info from the sticky:

2013 information thread

I ordered the 730 for my 2013 but didn't quite understand the major differences. I know the connectivity group is cheaper with the 730.

Good luck and come visit the 2013 waiting room when ordered!

I have the 730, it is only worth it with the LockPick. If you are okay with going aftermarket, it's definitely better. I personally don't know any good audio shops, and just wanted it to be in there and ready and built in. But, the lockpick lets it shine so you can connect multiple cameras, use the DVD player for rear-seat video source, input addresses into the nav while in motion, let your passengers watch a movie while you nav, etc. It's a good system, just has a lot of restrictions and the lockpick takes care of those. But, considering the price, plus the lockpick, its nothing compared to what you can get aftermarket.

Dual top And full steel Although half door sounds like an awesome option I would only get them in addition to full, not by themselves =)

I have a lot of those options on my 2012, I drove a Z4 coupe with all the bells and whistles and grew accustom to the features. Wish I had the auto start though. Great vehicle, I have the hardtop and will go with the NX frameless top when they are ever available again, I had 2 tops on my 2000 Wrangler Sport and I thought dealing with the soft top frame was a pain, so that might be something to consider.

Congrats!!! In terms of financing I would see if they can lock you into a good rate (on paper.) I got much better financing with a local credit union but its a roll of the dice, especially considering the popularity of the Wranglers and where interest rates are at the end of summer / beginning of fall.

Well that's interesting. I didn't know this.

I'm glad the OP brought it up. I was under the impression that with the Auto tranny, Max Tow Group bumped you down to the 3.73 no matter what.

If you want the 4.10 and tow package, you just add the 4.10 rear axle option and the Trailer Tow Group. Am I wrong? Or is this just semantics and they're the same thing?

If you haven't ordered it already try TrueCar.com. I used them when I bought my Jeep and they find 3 dealers near you who will find your build below invoice with no haggling. It all depends on what you'll build but anyone I know who's used it has definitely saved money. Just an option to look at. Good luck, sounds like a great Jeep!

There is a "Tread Lightly" program that you can join and get 1% below factory invoice pricing. You will find all the details with a search of this forum. I wouldn't doubt you will be able to negotiate to that anyways but its an option. The is also a Costco deal like that. And there is also a Military discount that you might be able to use.

I would shop what you want around, especially if your not trading a car in. I think you should send that build you want to the closest 3 or 4 dealers internet managers to see who will give you the best deal. I would do it though e-mail and over the phone. Otherwise they may try to trap you in there dealership all day. Usually they will play a shell game with you based off your trade, new car price and financing. They might give you a great deal on one while screwing you on another.

It's my understanding even if you buy a Jeep at one dealer all your warranty work can be done at any Jeep dealership. So there really isn't a great reason to get one at the closest place.

Another trick to watch out for is them trying to add all kinds of BS into the price and paperwork. I would make sure to tell them you want to know what your going to be buying the car for after all doc fees and taxes. Better yet make a manager (not a sales guy) sign off on it.

I have heard it is a good idea to run by a bank to see what kind of rate they will give you before heading into the dealer.

I wouldn't get the mopar slush mats. For one they don't hold water in being a mat vs a liner. I have also heard that they fall apart pretty fast. I think Weather-Tech makes the best liners. I have the Quadratec front liners and there pretty good and half the price.

I would get them to agree to install your soft-top. It's a pain to put it together for the first time. At least my aftermarket Supertop NX was with terrible instructions.

I hated going in and dealing with all the crap to buy my Jeep, but it was worth it.

Thanks for the info! I'm asking the 2013 Forum if I can even order one at all now! Since not having leather is a deal breaker! lol
