Ordering a new Rubi next week!!

Decided to sell my 07 and order a new Rubicon next week...

That part I've made up my mind about.. but I'm seeking help from my fellow Jeepers to help me decide on a couple things...

1. Flame Red or Billet Silver
2. Hard top: color matching or black
3. Auto or 6spd..

right now im rollin flame red with 6spd soft top and half doors... I don't know if I can handle going from pretty much one extreme to the other so I'm thinking about ordering 6spd to keep more of the traditional Jeep experience..

It would really help me to see pics of each color and top combo.. with and without doors!

PS: I'm not looking to start a major debate about 6spd vs auto.. was just throwing all my thoughts out there

I don't like the same color hardtop as the vehicle (whichever it is but I like the billet with black). The same color top makes the jeep look like a big box, like a Honda Element or if it's a 4-door, like a Hummer.

Those are both great colors, but not as nice as bright white. Also if going automatic get 4.10's unless you plan on going 37" tires and then get 3.73's as you are going to have to regear any ways.

I ordered white. I would like you to order silver. I think this red is simply too bright.

Silver
Auto
Body-color hardtop (this looks awesome with silver)

Oh yeah, 4.10.

I personally like body colored roof and fenders, and that is what I ordered. I could not get 6 speed as I still have to have my wife drive me sometimes, and unfortunately its too late for her to learn stick. As far as color, can't help you there, I ordered Anvil.

The only input I have is if you buy red, do NOT get the matching top. That's A LOT of red.. just sayin' $.02

I also prefer the hard top and fenders to be the same color as the body. It gives it a nice clean look.

Since you're ordering, get the block heater. Its like $40 and it rocks on really cold days. Side air bags are worth 10 times what they charge, if you ever need them, so order them as well.

I prefer the black hardtops almost exclusively, with the exception of the white, anvil, and sand colors.

1. Both are good colors but the nudge goes to Billet
2. Either black or color matched top looks good. IMO, the color matched hardtop looks best on Billet than any other color including black. White looks good too.
3. If you have to ask the question you are not are hardcore manual fanatic so get the auto. It's more hassle and maintenance free, albeit less fun.
4. As Old Dogger wisely pointed out get the 4.10s

I have started to prefer the all-same-color look. However, the red that way is just a bit to much. Still not bad but definitely bright. With the red, I'd go with the black top, but I think the billet is a fantastic version of silver. I got the block heater and side air bags...and a bunch of other stuff.

Did I say Billet already? Yeah, get the Billet.

If your planning on upgrading fenders I wouldn't worry about them being color matched as it's an extra 300$ for something your taking off. Color is all you but deciding on your top really depends on weather it will be on or off during the "nice" season.

The color is all you, painted to match hardtops I do like, but prefer the soft top for flexibility of going topless. Mostly street go auto, I prefer the standard, funnier to drive, better for towing, etc

Black, Auto, 3.73, Hard top. You will change with 37" tires. No matter what you do it is a great Jeep.

Thanks for the advice!

I sold my Jeep yesterday for asking price.. third day I had it for sell.. book value + 500 bucks..

So ordering a new one on Monday!

Leaning towards black top because I will be removing the front two pieces frequently and don't wana hassle with scratches and all that..

I loved my Red JK.. and know I will still enjoy that color.. just can't decide if I want to switch it up or not..

Billet is nice... just might be a little too quiet for me..

But if I get red.. black top.. it'll be like I didn't even get a new one lol
